If a cases is approved by USCIS, how long will one have to wait. Country is Pakistan. Do we need to contact NVC for anything other than waiting?

What's the Priority Date? Waiting time is based on the Priority Date not based on the approval date. USCIS might have taken few months to few years to approve depending on the case.

The average wait time is 13 years from the priority date.

Currently, the total wait time from filing the I-130 to getting a visa is 13 years. That can go up or down over the coming years.

There is no reason to contact the NVC. When the PD is about current, the NVC will contact the petitioner.

The pd is Feb 3 2016. I was thinking the cases might take like years to get approved but they were actually approved within 4 months for f4.

The bulk of the time is waiting for a visa number to become available. Like the other commenters said, that takes about 13 years right now.

Follow this link and check the latest Visa Bulletin.

In the August 2016 Visa Bulletin, the current PD for worldwide F4 is September 15, 2003. That means those with PD before that from Pakistan and most of the world are eligible for visas. With a PD of Feb 3, 2016, you are looking at another 12-13 years.

With a fast approval of 4 months, derivative beneficiaries only have an additional 4 months of CSPA protection. Any child who turns 21 years and 4 months old before the PD becomes current will age out and CSPA will not help and this child will not be eligible for a visa.

Best of luck.

1. I want to book hotel near to embassy please tell the name of hotels?
2. Should I take my family with me to embassy for interview?
3. My petitioner has paid all fee, do I have to pay any other fee in embassy pre or post interview? how much amount should I take with me? in USD?
4. My daughter is 6, old can I have something to eat for her (sandwiches, biscuits)?
5. How much time will it take for whole process?
6. Any other DOs or DONTs?
