oh ok

so what did they put on the international vaccines card? that she had it or its empty? Cause i think she will need that for the AOS, no?

His wife's case is cr1/ir1, therefore no need to aos when she gets here.

You may or may not need the vaccine when you get here if you don't get it in Brazil. It will depend on your adjudicator and when the case is adjudicated. If it's flu season by then, the possibility of needing the vaccination is higher, it may trigger a rfe

During the medical the doctor has a check list that he fills in with letter codes. On that list he marks those with waiver codes

Okokok.... The Flu Vaccine at this point is going to be a problem.

A. DO NOT worry about it because doctor knows and will waive it.

B. DO NOT worry about it because FOR USCIS Flu season is from October 31 to March 1st.

For reference Google USCIS and Flu Vaccination. It says it there. Make a copy and take if need be.

I just want you to not be so worried about it. My wife and I were. Until I researched it. At the medical I personally asked the doctor confirmed it.

This was the first time I heard about the season and dates that the vaccines are actually necessary. I thought it was at all times. I already got the triplicate one, it says "Influenza" on my chart. The clinic in Rio sent me a list of shots I had to get and didnt say anything about being from october to march only.

I am going to the doctor in São Paulo instead of Rio because its closer to where I live, going to Rio just for the interview. the doctor in São Paulo doesn't even send you a list, it just says during the medical exam he will tell you what to take. I just don't want to delay the process having to email him later with extra proof of shots or something.

But even if the doctor waives it, I will need for the AOS, cause it will probably be during the season. Would a brazilian chart work as proof or it would have to be the international one? example, if i get it after my interview and exams, will it work for the AOS?

Ooohhh ok. You got it. Good. I just didnt want you to get over worried for nothing. GOOD LUCK. YES I understand what you mean by the dates none of them say it. But I researched it. And found it right on USCIS website. I made a copy and had it with me just in case. The Doctor must follow USCIS rules. Hope all goes well. GOD BLESS

If it is not flu season, then you do not need the flu shot at your K-1 exam. You will not have to go get one if it is flu season by the time you file for AOS. If you had all the required vaccinations and they are marked off on a properly filled out DS-3025, then that is all you need for AOS > http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/551080-immunizations-ds-3025-or-i-693/

Hello! I'm also brazilian, and I thought about taking the vaccines while I wait for the NOA2. My only concern is that I'm a little allergic and wonder if it will be ok to just take a lot of vaccines in a short period of time.

Did you have your medical appointment yet? Which vaccines are required?

Im waiting for my NOA2 as well and taking vaccines slowly, so I don't have to get them all at once. you will need those vaccines:

  • MMR
  • Td or Tdap or DT or DTP or DtaP (One date must be no longer than 10 years ago)
  • Varicella (if you had chickenpox, History gets you a waiver)
  • Influenza (during flu season)

Remember its during United States Flu season October 31st to March 1st

Other way around, it is Oct 1st through March 31st.

https://www.uscis.gov/news/questions-and-answers/vaccination-requirements

Q. When does the flu season start for purposes of the seasonal flu vaccine requirement? Since the seasonal flu vaccine is required, do I have to get the seasonal flu vaccine if it is not the flu season?

A. For purposes of the immigration medical examination, the flu season starts on October 1 and ends on March 31 each year. If your immigration medical examination is during this period, you are required to have the seasonal flu vaccine. If you have an immigration medical examination completed between April 1 and September 30, when it is not the flu season for immigration purposes, you are not required to document that you have received the seasonal flu vaccine.

Ok! I had taken 2 doses of Td, so should I take another one of dtap?

I was required to, when I went to the medical with dra Juliana in Belo Horizonte. I thought I was ok because I had at least 3 dts (the last one taken in 2015, just months before the medical) in my vaccination card, but oh well, it wasn't that expensive and apparently there was an outbreak of whooping cough around here.
