Hi,

I was wondering if somebody could answer my question.

I am going to send out all docs for removing conditions of my Green Card. My question is Can I ask in a letter to whoever will be processing my petition about specific days for my bio metrics?( I am in school on Mons and Weds so wont be able to go for biometrics on those days and cannot miss classes because of strict professors and the hard classes themselves).

Thank you for any input and help.

Once they schedule you and you receive the notice in the mail, you can always opt to do a walk-in appointment BEFORE the scheduled date.

You cannot request certain days/dates on your applicatio. Whatever is next available is what you are assigned. You can reschedule your biometrics (with no guarantee of getting a you would like the 2nd time) or do an early walk-in (and hope you are not turned away and told to come back on your scheduled date).

I am a professor and a student missing a single day for immigration purposes definitely takes precedence over my class.

We sent our application in yesterday, and we're going away to California August 11-22nd. We included that flight itinerary in our package (also as proof as both of our names are on it), and wrote a note asking politely to please schedule the biometrics after or before this trip. Not sure if they'll even read it but our lawyer told us it couldn't hurt.

You can also try a walk in, make sure to bring the letter with the appointment day and time with you, and maybe a class schedule to prove that it's not possible to go on the specific day. Also do so before your scheduled appointment as opposed to after as not showing up for the biometrics can result in denial.

Good luck!
