January 2017 filer from CSC who filed same day as me 28th Jan 2017 was approved on 28th Aug 2017

That is odd. They want the proof of your travel arrangement?? When is your NOA or when was your conditional green card expired?

It was a joke, but we should not look at the individual approvals and rush to conclusions. Should look at the trend. If it were one in a million cases, then it is kind of random, an anomaly or an outlier if you will..

My NOA is July 13th 2016. My extension is extended yesterday. I wonder if I need to make a infopass to get my stamp. I worry that they may refuse to give me the stamp again and I waste another day of my vacation. However, I was able to renew my driver license for 10 year in late August of this year.

My NOA was 8/8/2016, and I got my one year stamp by 7/18 this year. Some officers go by NOA, some go by the expiration date on your conditional green card. They can't legally reject your request 30 days before the CG ecpires.

Even at the present positive rate of CSC approvals, which on average appears to be 5-6 a week on a good week, and projecting 90 July filers on VJ, it looks like another 5 months to get through all July VJ filers. That means early Aug filers should expect to hear something in mid Feb 2018. Of course I'm still secretly hoping that the situation will improve and roc will again be prioritized as in the past.
