Did a little experiment by talking to 3 second tier immigration officers. They all told me different stories. One said I would be hearing from them by mid Sept which sounds too good to be true. Second one said my case has been assigned, but got transferred to NBC. The third one just told me my case was pending, and no more info. Bottom line, take what the what so called "second tier" immigration officers tell you with a grain of salt and do not read too deep into what they say because my little experiment told me whatever they say might not be the real progress of your case. Only the adjudicator knows which we will never find out until we hear from them. Just have to keep waiting patiently, it is a waste of time to call USCIS to find out the progress of your application in my opinion. However, I hope the what the first officer I talked to is correct, but I can't bet on that because i don't want to set my self for disappointment, so I will just wait and see and would not get my hopes up. I say I will be hearing from them by next Feb or March, lowering my expectations here. Early August CSC filer here. Good luck to you all.

I went to a field office for infopass appointment today... The officer gave me a I-551 stamp on my passport and gave my GC back to me... without any question.

And also told me that my application is being processed by someone. Anyways, it's a good news to me as it means that there is some progress in CSC

BTW I'm a July filer (Filed on 7/12 to CSC and received NOA on 7/19, Biometrics appointment around ~8/4).

I talked to 3 second tier officers and they all have me different stories. If I were you, I would just take his word with a grain of salt and still wait patiently. Not telling you what to think, but realistically, we will never find out the real status or progress report on our cases. Good luck, hope you will hear from them soon because if you get approved, that will be good news for all of CSC filers.

are second biometrics apointments needed if it has been over a year since they took them?

I think it's longer than that. And I think they'll send you a letter to get you to come for another biometrics appointment.

Is your timeline updated?

I also think It depends on the officers, some do try to help, some are lazy, the third one i talked to seemed to be lazy, she just said "It is pending, and they are processing cases from June 20th", no different from the regular USCIS agents. But why would the first officer i talked to got so specific telling me i would hear from them by mid Sept, if he just wanted to tell me something i wanted to hear or something general why would not he have told me "It would take 2 months" jor just made up a generic default waiting time frame. Oh well, like i said, i will take his word with a grain of salt and wait and see what happens, what else can i do? Right?

I agree. Some just dont want to make any effort and they would tell you the generic answer.

I personally felt like the one I talked to yesterday really gave me details. She said as August 21st your case was assigned to an officer and he had 32 days to make a decision. She put me on hold for quite a while before answering me and she had an african accent :) like me so she probably was feeling empathic.

It all depends on who you talk to and their :( mood.

Oh well. Let's just wait, at some they HAVE to give us a feedback.

I also like the one who told me i would be hearing from them in 2 weeks, lol, obviously. We all want to hear things we want to hear. I hope the first officer who told me i would hear something from them by mid Sept is correct, but like i said, i don't want to set my self to disappointment, so i will just wait and see, we shall see. Maybe our approvals are coming pretty soon like some of the officers have suggested.

Hey guys, what is the number you call USCISto contact tier 2? I don't have it handy:( i appreciate it!

18003755283, but you need to talk a regular agent first and asked to be transferred to an immigration officer.

I called and I asked them to trasfer me to a Tier 2; he said there is no need to be transferred. He said my case is in normal processing time, couldn't tell me if

my case is assigned to anyone. Basically he told everything what I know already, nothing new. The only thing he said is that my case should be done in no more than a month.

I am CSC NOA 7/25/16

A regular agent told you that? That is odd that he would not transfer you to an immigration officer. I talked to 3 second tier immigration officers, and they all told me different story as i posted yesterday. One officer said I would hear from them by mid Sept. I guess we will find out. My NOA is 8/8/2016. No more than a month? Sounds too good to be true, but hey, maybe that is why the first officer said I would be hearing from them by mid Sept...we will see.

I guess with everyone is different:)

Which is why we just need to take what they say with a grain of salt, but I guess it is a good sign that many July filers seem to be getting similar responses of them telling they will be processed soon, including mine.
