I got an interview invitation in the mail today for end of September, end of July filer, CSC. Frustrating, but at least some news. Hopefully they started looking at July filers finally, because my case was sent to my local field office beginning of July. Funny thing, earlier today I called USCIS Tier 2 and asked about my case, they said it is still pending, no news. Also few month ago I submitted change of address form, they confirmed it, the officer confirmed it and they still sent it to my old address. Few questions regarding the interview:

1. They requested "affidavit of third parties, that should be supported by documentary evidence and must be sworn to or affirmed by at least 2 people" - does it have to be notarized? And what kind of evidence can I provide with those statements?

 2. If I'm married to US citizen, does it mean that we file jointly? Because it says in that case that my spouse should be at the interview with me, or they might delay my application, and he is out of the country and will be at the time of interview:(.

I also got interview invitation. They ask for same evidences and even my spouse also out of country .

R u going to reschedule interview as ur hubby out of country

No. He is gone for a long time and will be back only after New Year. I don't know what to do because it is too far away to reschedule, and I'm afraid not to bring him since the invitation specifically says "bring your spouse".

Yes, your spouse must attend the interview. Any joint ROC interviews must have both parties present or they won't approve. Either you will have to keep rescheduling until your spouse returns or your spouse will have to return home to attend as scheduled.

Wow, your NOA is the end of July which means they might be adjudicating July filers. Affidavit of a third party, I assume they mean letters from friends and family that can attest the bona fide nature of your marriage. I submitted two letters from friends with copies of their driver licences. My lawyer adviced me to do so for identification purposes, so they would not think the letters are made up by you. And yes, you have to go to the interview with your spouse. 751 applications based on marriage are joint applications.

Thank you. Is deployment a good enough reason not to be at the interview?

Two late July CSC filers just got the RFE requests, that is encouraging, maybe they have started adjudication for July filers!?

I didn't get RFE, just the interview invitation right away. I believe it is same for another person. Very strange. Hopefully they started with July cases though.

Yeah I believe if your spouse is serving in active duty, that is the only circumstance where you can attend interview alone.

Oh ok, that's right, I remember now. I got confused. I am sure it is going to be a piece of cake and you will be ok, congratulations, your journey of 751 is about to be over. Hopefully they will just approve you right on the spot, but it is very encouraging that your case is being reviewed and adjudicated now. They have started the July cases, you are one of them, hopefully you are not an anomaly for July fling processing.

You said your spouse is out of the country, you might have to reschedule the interview. Better give them a call and find out what to do next, they obviously want to interview you both to conclude the bona fide nature of your marriage.

Yes, active deployment of a spouse allows you to attend the interview alone. You may want to contact USCIS for confirmation (just in case the policies have changed, thought I doubt it), but their website says so here:
