As far as I know. There has been 2 that have been approved. One of them was approved while ago with a divorce waiver so it probably means nothing. There is one CSC applicant named JRF whose NOA was July 8th, 2016, he or she was approved just a few days ago. So yes, there is one, it is a bit encouraging..

I hope they started approving July filers...

I think they probably will start approving July's pile by Sept, but conservatively speaking, probably mid October.

Usually when something like that happens, it's a temporary computer glitch.

CSC seems to have slowed down again. Also VSC too. I hope it has not come to a halt again. I hope the government won't shut down due to Trump's threat, if that is the case, we will all be screwed and have to wait even longer.

I didn't think that USCIS is affected by government shutdowns. I think they are funded solely via immigration fees.

I hope you are right, but USCIS is part of our government, but I don't know how much the shut down will affect its function. I think shut down is unlikely, but if that happens, it might make it more complicated.

Yes this is true. My husband was waiting for his I-130 during the last government shutdown and it was not affected

But in fairness, even if USCIS did get shut down, the difference between dead slow and stop would probably be indistinguishable. :-)

July VSC here. Just got the approval letter yesterday. It was exactly a month from the time they recieved my RFE packet 7/17 to approval 8/17. I was expecting an interview because I wasn't able to add much evidence in reply to the RFE but thankfully I can move on now. Thank u VisaJourney for all the help and hoping for faster approval for everyone!

Congratulation. What evidence did they ask you and If you don't mind what kind of evidence you didn't send? It is going to help many VJ filers. Thanks and enjoy the approval.

Thank you, nope I dont mind at all. They were asking for a bunch of things the generic ones lease, life insurance, will/power of attorney, loans/credit cards and other financial proofs as well as children, affidavits and recent tax documents. We didn't have most of the things they were asking and the only thing I sent as a reply to the RFE were 5 affidavits and 2016 tax transcript. I also sent a letter explaining why we didn't have any of the other evidences they asked and lastly I added a bunch of photos from our various trips literally turned it into a scrapbook and phone records for supplement.
