That's is what I heard too. Although class action law suits generally lower the legal costs, it may still be expensive. For those willing to go through naturalization, it is a fair less expensive attempt to speed up the process, even though I am not entirely convinced that it works...

Unlikely it is going to get to that point, but I guess applying for 400 is the best way to potentially speed up the process i guess.

The thing is yea, CSC used to be faster, but the difference is VSC has not really changed. It was CSC that slowed down significantly this year like no one has ever seen before. It always take VSC a bit over a year to process, but the sure are catching up and now they are approving Sept filers.

I had my infopass appointment this morning and got an I-551 for another year from today. I asked if the case was assigned and the officer said no. I looked at their log and there were several I-751 cases. I asked why it is taking so long for the CSC to process the case and he just said "too many cases". Can you please add me to the database?

I-751 sent: 07/08/2016

NOA: 07/12/2016

Biometrics: 08/05/2016

Infopass appointment for passport stamping: 08/14/2017

Status: Pending

I had an incident at the border but I will share that in a different thread I opened so I won't divert too much from the topic here but it is about extension letter expiration and therefore important for those traveling abroad. I will become less active in this forum at least until some point next year, but I would like to thank you all for

the insights provided.

Unfollowed.

The majority of people complaining are not really complaining to receive emotional support, they complaint as they did 4 pages ago. All those posts go to those who follow this post with the hope to receive updates and good news, although you say this is what this thread is for, I tell you that for me (just one of those who follows) and for many others, we did not sign up to receive 10-15 emails of people saying

"Why is CSC so slow?"

"I have been waiting forever"

"There must be only one person working there"

"How long will they take?"

"VSC is a month ahead"

"This is taking way too long"

etc...

Those are not complaints, or at least not useful ones. My request for useful post was not to limit the freedom of some but to increase the quality of posts for all. Again, I will just unfollow this post because I don't find it useful. Everybody can check the CSC and VSC processing time and until they are past your NOA date, there is NOTHING to do.

Thank you for your response.

You just can't tell people what to write or what not to write. This is also a support group. Whether they are complaints to you or not is not the point, the point is people come here to share experiences and sometimes emotional outbursts. Freedom of speech applies here and you can't really decide what content should be posted not, that is not free speech, that is censorship.

Glad you got the 551 stamp. My hunch is CSC will probably get to July files by October or early November.
