Hey guys

My request may sound bogus and borderline mean but can we all agree that we should only post for now when we get an update regarding our case ?

We are already stressed enough about our case, when I personally receive a visa journey notifications, I'm expecting a CSC news. :)

I totally understand the fact that we are all super frustrated and quite upset about this whole process and it does help to b**tch about it with people who go through the same thing; I know that I can also mute the forum (which I dont want to do).

But please please pleaase! Can we just be productive and proactive when it comes to our posts ?

Once again I apologize if this comes as "rude" but my head is everywhere, I am having anxieties when I see post lool. That's how much this process stresses me out.

It's just a suggestion!

AMEN!

All and page admin.

This is getting ridiculous. Many many emails each day of people saying that they are stressed and that there is nothing we can do about this.

Please stick to your words and DO NOTHING including not posting here your frustration. I totally agree with Y&i2015, please post here only when you have an update on your status. All questions have been answer by page 20 of this Topic and we are already at page 78.

Admin, Is it possible for you to remove useless complaints and allow only status updates?

Thank you in advance. I wish next time I get blasted with 12 emails it's because of the joy of somebody else getting approved.

I've seen mandamus working before but it is only worth in extreme cases.

Interesting, I don't think we will need that legal remedy, just a matter of time that we get approved. Maybe another 6 or 7 months.

I am with you and I believe most of us, are... Emotional support - THAT'S exactly what's this thread for. For those who are tired of getting email  turn off your notifications for email if that bothers you!!!

This thread is for emotional support in this difficult, stressful time as well as progress updates and questions about the process regarding progress.  Rejoice and be happy when positive updates come, but also support and advice those who have to wait longer. That is an important part of Visa Journey- being able to talk with others who face the same delays in the process.

Additionally, do not tell others what they can and cannot post.  If something is against the TOS, you can use the "report" button on every post (though as mentioned above, complaining about delays and seeking support is exactly what this thread is for).  If you want purely statistical progress updates, you can look at timelines.

Thank you.

Unfollowed.

The majority of people complaining are not really complaining to receive emotional support, they complaint as they did 4 pages ago. All those posts go to those who follow this post with the hope to receive updates and good news, although you say this is what this thread is for, I tell you that for me (just one of those who follows) and for many others, we did not sign up to receive 10-15 emails of people saying

"Why is CSC so slow?"

"I have been waiting forever"

"There must be only one person working there"

"How long will they take?"

"VSC is a month ahead"

"This is taking way too long"

etc...

Those are not complaints, or at least not useful ones. My request for useful post was not to limit the freedom of some but to increase the quality of posts for all. Again, I will just unfollow this post because I don't find it useful. Everybody can check the CSC and VSC processing time and until they are past your NOA date, there is NOTHING to do.

Thank you for your response.

Totally get it. And LUAL post comes from good intentions. And like it personally I can unfollow the post and come back from time or time and like others, just come back and read the thread. The thing is this is the time when we are supposed to get good news and we aren't. And it's soooo frustrating.

Reading about the same thing over and over over and over and over and over (one more and over lol) it's exhausting and quite irritating. It is indeed the purpose of this forum but jeez Louise ! Ca m'irrite a un point ! Mais bon.

We had to try ! Thank you for your understanding !

I don't mean to be rude since I truly understand that we are all in the same boat...

followining this thread or not, doesn't mean you don't follow the process. This or that way you have to... you will check this thread without even following it and that's the emotional part...

Regarding the recaps that you mentioned in your post - not all but most of them seem pretty satisfying to me: "I've been waiting forever" means "I'm not the only one" to me...

dont want to take it away from the topic but just want to make my point clear

wishing great news to all of us!!!

Good luck, everyone!!!

You can still follow this thread and set your subscription to just one email per day or per week. That way, you're not getting an email for every reply.

Just go near the top-right where it either says "Follow" or "Following". Click on it, and then select either:

-One email per day with all new content from that day

or

-One email per week with all new content from that week

Agreed. I just wanted to make a point that besides waiting, the only other remedy I see is a legal one. However, I myself wouldn't do that because it drives the cost of this process through the roof, so unless years have passed by without a decision, there's no point going there. I also have seen people filing mandamus for N-400 cases so it is wise to use that as a measure of last resort in the future.

My lawyer told me the real normal processing time is really 1.5 to 2 years. If it goes beyond that, you can file a class action lawsuit, but that will be an expensive endeavor.

That's is what I heard too. Although class action law suits generally lower the legal costs, it may still be expensive. For those willing to go through naturalization, it is a fair less expensive attempt to speed up the process, even though I am not entirely convinced that it works...
