I went to my Infopass appointment today (Aug 8) to find out why I haven't heard back, and the lady there said my application was approved August 4!! I've not received anything in the mail yet, nor has my status changed on the USCIS website, so I'm still holding my breath until I get physical confirmation...

A very CAUTIOUS congratulations to you for now!! I hope it's true!! It looks like we just need a handful more of VSC filers to be approved, and then our July group is set in that regards.

Afternoon all, 

My green card expired 19th August 2016. I applied on the 19th July 2016. I was issued with a 12month extension (through til 19th August 2017) then had my biometrics taken October 18th. Yesterday (8th August) I had an InfoPass appointment in Orlando. My passport was stamped for an additional 6months (through 7th February 2018). I am currently applying for US Citizenship, so hopefully that helps speed things up.

 

I did ask the guy at the office if there was any reason as to why it is taking so long to process, and he told me it can take up to 18 months, due to fraud and they have to monitor every application thoroughly.

That doesn't explain why VSC is moving so quickly...

I had my infopass appointment today in Orlando and they told me the same thing regarding csc. The lady also told me that i can go ahead and apply for my citizenship. They did stamp my passport for an additional 12 months.
