I-751 July 2016 Filers

I went into the actual law to see if there are timelines expected from USCIS.

I couldn't find any, but it's interesting to read about what happens if anyone is denied acceptance during the appeal process.  I'm a 2017 filer but have been watching this group to watch the timelines.  It's disheartening that people have to seek an infopass meeting to extent resident cards into a fourth year.

My greencard has expired last Oct 2014

*** I have my passport stamped yesterday 8/1

*** CSC filer

*** the consul says that my case has not even assigned to; so she give me a stamped valid until July 31, 2018

I filed 7/26. I got a letter in the mail back in March saying my case was transferred to CSC. A few weeks ago I called UNCIS and they told me they had no record of my case being sent to CSC and that it was still in Vermont. Still nothing yet, getting sick to my stomach over this whole thing. Not even knowing where my file is and I can't schedule an infopass apt since the site is not working properly and the number to my local office isn't working/disconnected...what to do?

I'm sorry about that, I am sure it's really stressing and frustrating. Please try to call the number 1 (800) 375-5283 and try to get some info/help from them first. Then try to use the website multiple times until you can get the infopass and then go and talk with a USCIS officer. 

 

There is no much less you can do unless you want to get a good immigration lawyer but that, of course, will cost some $$$$...

There's hope. I called USCIS around one week after it had been one year from my submission and they recommended to schedule an infopass appointment 30 days before my expiration date, which is early October. I was a bit skeptical about the 30 days thing and started trying to schedule right away around 7/24. When I saw that it was not easy, I contacted my attorney and she told me to keep trying or pay her around $400 to get her to help me. Then I signed up to Visa journey and received very good advice about it and I just kept trying. I could have gotten an appointment earlier but when one slot came up, I wasn't prepared and ended up losing it. Then they opened up for a week that I would be travelling. Then one week later I got my infopass appointment. My advice is that you have to keep trying in the wee hours, midnight, in the middle of the night, 5am-7am, throughout the day, weekday, weekend, just use your smart phone like you never did before. They open up slots at random times for the whole day, sometimes for Saturday as well. You can also be lucky to spot somebody's slot when they cancel the appointment. Regardless if you are using your smartphone or your laptop/desktop, try to have memorized your A- number and your WAC/VAC number. If you switch windows, chances are the website will drop you. And be fast as multiple people may be competing to the same slot and you may lose it and go to the next but then again you will be competing with multiple people. Good luck!

Usually your new GC will arrive in 5-7 biz days from the day your status changes online. 

 

I believe you can call a Tier-2 officer and ask for tracking info

I live in Los Angeles, same thing happened to me, I had not been able to schedule an appointment for weeks with the LA filed office. So i decided to enter a zip code that was sort of away from Los Angeles, and i got the appointment right away in Santa Ana, one hour away from where I live in Los Angeles, and I got my 551 stamped. SO you can try a different zip code and see if you can find other filed offices.

Went to June's filers' page, apparently. More June filers have started to get approved, that's good news, hopefully it will get to July's pile soon.
