Should I be worried? Does that mean RFE or interview?

I dont think. It doesn't necessary mean RFE or interview

Some june filers were approved and their letter approval was from their local office. Not rfe, no interview

It means no more no less but closer look. However, who knows what's going on out there now. May be this is how they also try to unload service center. Normally if there are doubts and your case is being taken a closer look at, you will know it by out-of-normal processing time because they are very slow and if your case gets transferred for a bad reason it's gonna take much longer so you will know. So I would wait unless the majority of July filers get their green cards and if you're not amongst them, then you should become alert. How do you know it was transferred to the filed office?

The officer that gave me I 551 stamp have told me that. It was 2 weeks ago.

Hello all! At this point, I am waiting for over an year for the USCIS decision on my I-751 and my extension letter will expire in 10/09/2017. I am not being able to schedule an infopass online to have the I-551 stamped to the passport I am about to renew. I am not in a rush to get the greencard and am not interested to file for citizenship at this point either but need to be able to work here and travel abroad. Is this a case to file a mandamus or there's something else that can be done at this point? I'm not really sure where the case is. I submitted the case to the CSC as per the form instructions but I remember the lady from the USCIS telling me something about the VSC over the phone. Can I schedule an infopass appointment outside my jurisdiction? Will I be out of status not being able to work and risking removal of the country?

See timeline below:
-Early 2016: Received letter from the USCIS requesting filing of I-751

-7/07/2016: Posting of joint form I-751 filing and related documentation to the CSC

-7/11/2016: USCIS confirmed the receipt of CRI-89  (submission received by them in 7/08/2016 according to USPS)

-8/5/2016: Biometrics appointment

-August/2016: 1-year extension letter received around this time for conditional green card expiring 10/06/2017

-April-July/2017: Several calls to the USCIS asking about status and no other information given besides what is provided online. Consulted the USCIS website and found out that the CSC is analyzing cases from June 2016. Trying to find a slot to schedule infopass appointment online in my jurisdiction with no success.

Thought I would try calling USCIS this morning, but got no new info. The rep I spoke to was obviously reading from a script, was told to wait up to a month and a half and then call back. Worth a shot I guess, lol.

According to the CSC timeline, they are processing June 15 cases. You have to wait until they are at or past your NOA1 date to expect anything. Any writs you file will be fruitless and a complete waste of your money and time.

~AOS : 09/11/2014 - 2 YR Green card received!.

~ROC 07/13/2017 - 10 YR Green card received!.

~N-400 : 10/28/2020 - N400 Interview & Approval/Oath Ceremony/US Citizen!

To all, I am a CSC July 2016 filer and I am with you with the frustration of the stupid amount of time USCIS is taking to process our applications. However, I went to my infopass appointment, got the passport stamp and even if I would love to receive the GC tomorrow, I have no rush to do so because the stamp works as a GC until July 2018. So get a piece of peace and get an infopass, try to get it within 30 days from the expiration of your extension (1 year from the date your 2 years GC expired) and after you receive the stamp, you'll feel so much better!

I truly hope that CSC will start approving July soon. They are now half way through June filers, so we will be next. As I said before, I expect approvals in July CSC filers in the end of August/September.

Good luck all!

Well, if it takes them one month to process applications filed within a week then July 15th is supposed to be taken care of in around 4 months.

Hi everyone!

First time poster here, but I wanted to ask a quick question:

My NOA is 07/29 but my GC does not expire until 08/06 of this year. Do I *need* an I-551 stamp? Is it required I mean? I have steady employment, I have my SSN and I have a valid California ID that's good until 2022. I have no plans on traveling (even if I got the stamp, I wouldn't travel), so I'm not sure if it's an actual requirement or if it's something you get because you need it for work/travel purposes.

Any help would be appreciated! Good luck to us July filers!
