July filers are starting to get approved, little by little. you should call back and ask if everything is normal with your case, and if it has been assigned to someone ?

She explained me that they are working on applications received on June 9, 2016 and I am from August 2 so it will take a little while until I hear from them. She told me that the only way to make an infopass appointment is online and I have to keep trying every day at my location. She was also clear that I have to have a valid passport, which I don't have because in the past the Mexican consulate didn't want to renew mine because my married name didn't match my name on the birth certificate. So for now I have to get my passport as without having my married name on it and have it ready if I get lucky to get an infopass appointment.

More good news! I was able to schedule appointment at Mexican consulate next week to renew my passport. I was blown away how fast I was able to schedule this appointment even chose the date and time   Also like every morning, today I checked for infopass appointment online and BINGO! there was one day available with times to choose from 7:15am to 2:15pm, I immediately chose my time and got the confirmation appointment letter to print.  One week from today I will be getting my passport and two weeks later my infopass appointment to get my extra year extension stamp. Just in time to get ready for Fall semester and to prepare for a job interview in few more days

Hi guys,

    Just got off the phone with Tier 2 officer, and wanted to share my experience.

   I called USCIS today to verify that the Change of Address I submitted online 6 months ago actually went through. I have an email that it did, but was reading this forum and decided to double check, since a lot of people said theirs didn't come through. 

    The Tier 2 officer called me back within 1,5hrs. She verified the address (they had the old one on file, and we updated it to my new one when she was on the phone). She wasn't able to say why the system didnt update it, but I guess it just happens. She was however able to verify that no communications were sent to me since the NOA/Biometrics notices,  so nothing was missed.

    Obviously, I had to ask about the timelines and how much longer will this process take...she said that she can't give any estimates or specifics...but that the June 9 date for CSC is no longer accurate. I asked if it means they are past that date, and she said, "It's possible". She sounded super nice and cheerful...haha... I know it's not much, but gave me some hope :-)

 

Moral of the story: do verify what address they have on file...

I was told that same date yesterday when I called and the lady was also very friendly, so this means that hopefully they are a little more ahead than June 9

It happened to me! did the change of address, received a letter confirming and then called back this monday and the officier said nothing has been updated and did not see any change of address... she asked me to do it online rather than over the phone...

Most likely but I doubt they have advanced too far off the June 9 date.

My NOA was on June 10 and I received my approval and card in production email today.

I think USCIS may just move the dial to June 10 or June 11 in this month's update.

Congratulations! 13 months shy later you reached another big milestone. Have you applied for Naturalization yet?

Thank you. 

And no, not yet. I figured I will wait until after a year or something. I have a number of things going on (regarding work contracts with my birth country etc.) which will be affected if I naturalized. So I will wait until it's the right time or I have a need to naturalize.

Yes, there were several CSC June 2016 approvals today... enough to be hopeful that they're finally getting their collective act together at CSC again! Oh, I hope, I hope, I hope. 

 

Also, since there was that unexpected "update" (so-called update) on the USCIS website on the 30th, I wonder if they'll still do their regular mid-month update.....? It usually goes up between the 14th and 18th of the month.

Hi all its my first time posting i usually read through the comments which are a great deal of help i must say!. so quick story. NOA 07/06/16. BIO 08/11/16. i received an approved removal of conditions letter 06/10/17. Stating that its not a approval letter me know how VSC will continue to process my case etc. I decided to make an info pass appointment for NY field office and got appointment for next week. Quick tip go online to USCIS 5am-7am EST. there you will be able to choose available appointment times hope it works for everyone! so today 07/08/17 i got my approval letter!!!!! it dated approval notice 07/05/17 1year it took! it also states that it will take about 60 days to receive new card in the mail and you should not travel out of the country until you receive the new card in hand. travel outside should only be emergency purposes only and will require stamp in passport to do so!. GOOD LUCK EVERYONE VSC is moving!!!

So I got an RFE today. I need guidance. I sent photos, copy of insurance cards with both our names, copy of letters addressed to us. Income taxes (well transcripts). Forgot what else. Now the want birth certificate of baby, which I have, they want bank statements(letter says they want records for as long as we been together, is this true?)  Prove that we live together, now the lease is under my name cause I moved here before he got here.  I can give utility bill but for how long does it need to be? One year or more?  I do not have a will Nor a power of attorney, do I need to get one ? The also mentioned letters from friends with supporting documents, what does this mean?
