He said, he had NO record of me being sent a notice of my case being transferred (as I'm holding the notice in my hand) and that according to him my case was still at VSC. He said that on his end it didn't show him that I got approved, request for evidence, or anything. 

 

As far as cases being assigned, he said that it's a first come/first served basis and that cases get processed same day normally so there is no officer that has your case for days/weeks. He said that it's possible that with the workload they "intended" to move my case, but never did. 

 

When I asked if I did get moved would I be "in line" w/ the July filers at CSC or Feb/March 2017 filers and he said he had no idea. 

 

So now I'm stressing, to not know where my case is officially and it's just a matter of assuming that my case never moved is stressful. He did say that one year of waiting seemed long. 

what is your NOA date?

July filers are starting to get approved, little by little. you should call back and ask if everything is normal with your case, and if it has been assigned to someone ?

Hi, may I asked what number did you call to be able to talk to an IO? I need to schedule an infopass and I can't seem to find the right key when I dial 1-800-375-5283.  I called to inquire about my case and the information was given by the system and not by a person, same information that appears online.  Thank you

call 8003755283   select 1 - 2 - 2 -2 

and then ask to verify your address on file, and they will transfer you to a tier 2 officer

let me know what he says ! ask the officer if your case has been assigned

 I followed the exact same steps last Monday and an officer gave me a call back after 13 mins.

She mentioned she is unable to confirm my address at the moment, I should either ask my attorney to check or send a written request to VSC.

She was a little arrogant and I could not check any further.

call back. some officers are more helpful than other. my IO this morning was not helpful at all. The IO on monday was very very nice and helpful. They HAVE to be able to confirm your address, they even ask you for name last name date of birth and address before you ask any questions.. so call back now!

Can you please list the buttons you pressed to talk with an officer? everytime I call I never get to talk with somebody

Are you talking about VSC or CSC? I only see VSC approving...

So Yes, I did call and was able to speak to tier 2 officer. They mentioned given the sensitivity of my case (I have filed under extreme cruelty waiver), he will not be able to disclose any personal information on my records. My file is currently with a special officer. I can get the address details by writing to VSC and shared Vermont address with me. He was very kind and nice to talk to. I think I will wait patiently until I hear back from them on my case as currently all the communication goes to my attorney's office.

I just got off the phone, I chose Spanish version and the lady was so so so nice and helpful. She explained me that they are working on applications received on June 9, 2016 and I am from August 2 so it will take a little while until I hear from them. She told me that the only way to make an infopass appointment is online and I have to keep trying every day at my location. She was also clear that I have to have a valid passport, which I don't have because in the past the Mexican consulate didn't want to renew mine because my married name didn't match my name on the birth certificate. So for now I have to get my passport as without having my married name on it and have it ready if I get lucky to get an infopass appointment.
