I'm not sure why anyone is stressing out about this.  It all took us a lot more time getting the K1 approved than those that came after us.

We plan on making an infopass appointment and getting my wife's passport stamped in July.  If nothing happens and October rolls around, she'll just apply for citizenship.  No need for a green card after that.

That is what we are going to do too, we applied last August. But it is understandable that it is frustrating. From being a conditional residence and a 10 year permanent residence is a big deal, and it is just frustrating that the progress is moving so slowly or it is not moving at all. But i guess there's not much we can do except just do what we can legally and be patient. USCIS is supposed t0 approve 2 applications at the same time or approve 751 prior to the 400 interview if upon applying 400 and the other 751 is pending according to their guidelines.

What is the stamp that everyone says they have to schedule to get? What am I missing here? I applied 7/26/16. Green card's expiration date is 9/9

If for any reason you need a proof of status (i.e.: trip outside USA), you can request a INFOPASS where you'll talk with a USCIS consultant who can stamp your passport attesting your status for 6-12 months. That should allow you to travel outside USA and come back without issues.

We need something to get an new Calif. drivers license..... Calif. DMV makes it expire on the same date as status (LEGAL) immigration expires ... the receipt gives a one-year extension to green card, so in August last year CSC receipt was good enough to get a Calif. DL for one more year.. What to present this year for the renewal? there won't be a receipt...... so go to USCIS office for Passport stamp for presentation to Calif. DMV?

This is basically to have some document to extend your legal status beyond the 1 year extension letter. Because right now, if you're in this thread, that letter is the only piece of paper you have to prove that you have legal status. And like many of us, even that letter is nearing its expiration. So I would say that if your extension letter only has one more month of validity left, and you still haven't received your new green card, you should start looking into getting a passport stamp.

Could the people who went to the infopass appointment and got the stamp for 6-12 months clarify this... I have the I797C NOA, with the stamp from when I went to do the biometric appointment. The i797c is dated 7/16/2016 and the bio stamp is 8-2-2016, can I go to the info pass with that? Also when would you recommend making the appointment?

Thank you!

The processing time for CSC just jumped from June 7th to June 9th, a whole 2 days after several weeks stuck on June 7th..... Long sighhhhh :(

3 months to be specific. It didn't change last month. It stayed as June 7th.

So if you think about it, it's taken them 3 months to move just 2 days!!! smh.

~AOS : 09/11/2014 - 2 YR Green card received!.

~ROC 07/13/2017 - 10 YR Green card received!.

~N-400 : 10/28/2020 - N400 Interview & Approval/Oath Ceremony/US Citizen!

More Importantly, I am a proud Anti-Fascist!

They will have to do something, otherwise, the 751 applications will be indefinitely backlogged forever as there are applicants that file their applications everyday, then is it going to take them 3 years to process as it is just stuck in June??
