Don't worry, It is very normal for 751 applicants to wait for over 9 months. My lawyer told me she rarely sees people getting 751 approved in less than 9 months. Vermont service center tales even longer. The last processing time updates were on 3/14, they are still processing cases from last end of May for CSC, and last Fen for VSC. I filed mine to CSC last August. We might have 3 or 4 months to wait as USCIS has been severely backlogged. Good luck.

If you had an AOS interview waiver and don't have an open and close case, an interview is much more likely.  I have one and I'm from one of the lowest fraud countries there are.

AOS posted - 02/18/2014

NOA1 - 03/04/2014
Biometrics - 03/28/2014

EAD in hand - 5/10/2014
Interview waiver letter received - 6/9/2014

Card production notice - 1/10/2015

ROC mailed - 10/11/2016

Hello guys.

While we all wait, I was wondering of anyone has any experiences to share ? Specifically the investigation part? Do you think they go over the usual ? For example, spying on your emails, phone history, stuff like that. I have a huge sense of imagination so I already pictured so many situations ;)

How do you guys think it's put in place ?

Thanks guys!

I don't think they even do that. Seems pretty "conspiracy theory"-ey. They look at the evidence you've sent... if there are a lot of red flags there might be people interviewing neighbors etc, but they probably aren't officially breaking right-to-privacy laws . Only things that are on public record. (IE: interviewing your neighbors = ok, because you provided your address, while spying on your emails is not ok since you didn't provide your password.) That would only happen if there was serious evidence of a crime.

Is your timeline updated?

I have a ticket booked to Canada for May.  Can I travel with my expired green card and letter of 1 yr extension, or do i need something else to travel?

Should be good to go!

Looks like you're a Canadian citizen?  (Note to non-US, non-Canadian citizens reading this who may be flying to Canada: Canada recently started an ESTA-like requirement, called eTA, for most visa-exempt nationals. Read up on it here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/eta.asp )

Oh yeah? Great !

Maybe we shouldn't take in consideration their timeline on the website ? Cause it still says may 31st.

Sometimes they don't update those timelines for a while since they're behind on practically everything. I trust user experience on here more than their timeline. If people in June started to get approved and more start trickling in, but the processing time still says May 31st for CSC, then I believe VJ over USCIS.

On top of the processing dates table it says: "Field Office Processing Dates for California Service Center as of: January 31, 2017".

Well there you go ... Surely they've moved on from May since January 31st, or we would only hope.

So, do we think because I was transferred from VSC to CSC in March that I'll be approved in May/June or do you think my file went to the back of the line?
