I-751 July 2016 Filers

If you look at the list (which is posted every few pages) it doesn't look like any CSC filers after 7/20 have yet been approved. And, unfortunately, the generic message doesn't always change at all, and if it does, it changes when the new card is ordered, produced, or mailed (not all of those, but usually one at least). It doesn't change to say you've been approved, just posts at least one of the following steps. I suspect that the new computer program is set up to follow more developments, but the programming on the other end doesn't automatically update it. (And frankly, I'd be ticked off if they spent more of our money on computer programmers instead of more agents to actually approve our files!)

Thanks, sorry didn't see the list or at least I didn't look close enough. Just got excited that there are July people on it at all! Just feel like it takes forever. Do you happen to know what the status would change to if there's an issue or if they require additional evidence or interview? Will it say that?

No your status online would not change.

it would only change if your green card is in production!

but if they send you a request for evedince letter then you have to gather as much evedince as you can, and send it to them!

and if they send you an interview letter then you have to go to the interview along with your spouse!

plus you can always sign for informed delivery on USPS website that would allow you to see images of your daily mail!

Is there any pre-7/20/2016 filer here still waiting for approval?

I am totally stressed out.  My NOA date is 7/11 CSC, no N400 filing and still no update on my case at all.

My attorney got me a second Info pass on Nov. 2nd, but the waiting is ruining my day to day life.

I would think so too..It just delays the i-751 approval until they decide to adjudicate the n-400 processing..So you are left wondering what's going on with the renewal all the time.My window opened in April this year and now that I think about it,maybe filing for naturalization back then would have been a better option than now..But being a long time stalker,I have seen otherwise too on this forum,so maybe there are exceptions.

Please let the forum know. I have a feeling that the 751 applicants who applied for 400 are not going to get approved until the same day the 400 interview is approved. It seems more and more going this way.

Yes, been waiting to see if there are any exceptions, but so far, have not seen one. I guess it is a choice this year between patiently waiting for 751 without applying for 400 and applying for 400 and running the risk of having your 751 delayed(the likelihood of 751 delay for people who have dual pending cases seems unfortunately high), especially for CSC filers, but choosing the latter option is probably better in the long run if one's ultimate goal is citizenship, the drag is your 751 status will continue to be pending/unknown for however long your field office takes to process N-400, and that just creates personal stress and anxiety especially after waiting for the 751 for more than a year. I have said this before, both options require patience obviously, but the latter one is probably a better choice(bigger picture if you will) if your ultimate goal is 400 approval, you don't really need that 10 year green card anyway because you are going to surrender it after the 400 approval anyway. I personally guess that is why USCIS is delaying 751 cases for those who have 400 pending, it just saves more budget for them because by combining the 2 applications, they don't have to go through the trouble in producing the card and having to destroy it later. My 751 has been pending for 14.5 months, I filed my 400 more than 2 months ago, the only silver lining is I am in line for interview, but I would really like to be 751 approved now, so I don't have to think about it and stress out about it any longer, but looks like it is going to be another 6 months before the Los Angeles field office adjudicate my 751 and 400 concurrently(most likely). I have conceded, I will probably never get my 10 year green card and I will just get the 400 approval and an oath latter in 6 or 7 months. I just think of that ultimate goal, and I will feel better about my 751 status. This year is so messed up, but I really had no choice but having to file my 400 while I could because my American citizen spouse is approaching 90 years old in 6 months, and it means a lot to us that we both attend the oath ceremony(Same sex couple here), it is personal, and I just could not keep waiting for 751 given my spouse's age, so I think i did the right thing even though I feel a bit regretful, but I guess that is human nature. Good luck to those of you who are in my situation(and others who are just waiting for 751 of course), just think of the ultimate goal and maybe forget about 751, that is how I would tackle this mess mentally. Don't want to be stressed out waiting anymore, it will all be just fine, just a matter of time and continue to be patient unfortunately.

My status still says "New Card is being Produced". They never made the change to "APPROVED"
