I got the very same respond from USCIS Customer Service, and from the Immigration Officer, except that the officer said I will get more info after Nov 2nd, and that he doesn't know who's working on my case or any other information other than "its still processing, just go and get your extensions". ugghh.

In my experience, calling tier 2 immigration officers has been a complete waste of time. Whatever they told me was all false, they all told me I would hear from them by mid Sept and late Sept, none of what they said was true. I would just wait until my application is outside the processing times and make an info pass appointment.

Time does fly. I applied for removal of condition in July of 2015 and got a NOA 2 weeks later with an extension letter for one year. I received RFE in may of 2016 and i did renew my extension from 2016 to 2017. I was due for citizenship in October of 2016 and i applied. Did my biometrics for N 400 and still no decision for i751. Made multiple info pass sessions, spoke with level 2 supervisors but all they said we experiencing back log in Vermont center. I received a letter for N400 interview for August 1 2017. The interview was fine but decision was not made. The IO gave me a white form stating if i dont hear from them in 120 days i can petition them. Last monday, i received a letter from the baltimore field office inviting me for oath ceremony for last friday October 13th. I took my oath on that day and have my certificate with me. My advice, anything with a beginning must hv an end. I wish you all but for me its over.

Congrats, glad your journey is finally over, so you never got your 10 year green card in the mail?

Thanks for sharing your experience. Pardon my ignorance but what would the info pass appointment do? In a July, I made an info pass appointment to get a stamped extension on my passport and asked the officer what's the update, they told me the same thing the tier 2 told me.

Welcome. That is a good question. What is the difference between what an info pass officer says and  what a tier 2 officer says on the phone? It really beats me. The difference is you will be seeing an officer physically at the field office where your applications are. I have a friend who is a VSC filer who happened to be lucky enough to talk to the director of his field office and the director told my friend if he could come back next day for 751 interview and he was approved the next day after the interview, if he didn't make an info pass appointment, he might still have been waiting for the unknown. Not saying it is going to happen to you, the likelyhood of that happening is remote, but it is a chance I would personally take. I got nothing to lose by talking to an officer at a field office even though he might be telling the same thing what the tier 2 officer says. No ignorance at all, your concerns are totally legit and USCIS is basically a mess. Only the adjudicator who is handling your case knows what's going on. I talked to the officer who gave me the 551 stamp, he simply told me "I am not an adjudicator, so I can't really tell you more than what the computer screen shows". Basically, that is the best we can do. I have talked to at least 5 tier 2 officers, some were nice, some were not, but they were all saying nothing or gave me false hope. So realistically, I think you just have to wait it out and take advantage of the limited follow up services that USCIS provides which basically a waste of time, but sometimes, you may get lucky that you might come in contact with an officer who might say to you "Let me get my boss, please wait here sir". Good luck, the best way to deal with this in my opinion is just to wait and make inquires or info pass appointments once you are outside the processing times and after that, just pray by keeping your fingers crossed. All applications will be adjudicated, the challenge is obviously the time it takes and whether one's patience is holding.  My lawyer told me that if an applicant waited for two years and nothing happened, he or she could file a class action lawsuit against USCIS, but that may be an expensive endeavor and it is mostly likely not going to happen. 2 years is really the cut off time when one can really make a legal challenge against the USCIS, but I think that is probably extremely rare.

I am afraid that might be the case, the speculation of the delay of 751 due to having applied for 400 remains to be seen, but it seems to be going towards that direction. Maybe we will know whether this speculation is true when they get to August filers. I also filed for 400 while 751 is pending for over 14 months. I would love to see the approval of 751, but if i focus on 400, I will feel better after all that is my final goal.

I hope so too.I have been waiting for the approval for more than a year now and can't plan anything major in life without overcoming this obstacle.I sent my response on the 5th so its not a month yet..Will keep you guys posted

For any who might need the info my wife's I-751 was processed today by CSC, and the new card is now being produced.  NOA1 date was July 20th, 2016, no RFE and no interview.

 

It's been over four and a half years since we were married...  what a process, glad its almost over. 

 

Anybody have any info on how long CSC cards are taking to arrive at the moment?

I have a pending I-751 with NOA date 7/22/2016 filed at CSC. Anybody who filed after 7/20/16 who has heard anything back? Will the generic message on USCIS page that they have received my case on above date change once they start processing it? Thanks in advance. Really anxious!
