Case status stuck on READY

If a case status says READY for interview after two weeks of interview, what does that mean?. Is it better to be stuck on ready status or to be on AP status?.

ours still says ready for interview / he was approved for visa July 21, 2015 and came to the US in September

they don't always update the sites fast or in our case not at all

DI'd they give u 221g slip because my had 221g white slip for missing documents which was submitted back on the June 27.I email the consulate and they confirmed they received the documents, and my case is under review by the consular officer but status still says READY for interview.

Yes spouse received 221g letter stating case being sent to nvc and petitioner will receive notice to either present evidence or case being returned to embassy for second interview. I looked at similar cases and it seems that ap is between 30-60 days for response.
