How to extend J-1 ?!

Subtle didn't work, so here is the harsh version.

It would be incredibly stupid to file a fraudulent or frivolous asylum request. You could get deported. You could get ban for life.

Don't be stupid in making a false claim for asylum.

You have no path to stay in the US.

But those are exactly the terms you agreed to when you applied for the J-1 visa...come to the US for the experience and then return home. You may well be subject to the 2-year home country residence requirement (it should say so on your visa). If so, you cannot get any other work visa until you have spent two years at home. Even if you're not, there is no chance you should apply for asylum -- unfounded claims for asylum will get you permanently banned from the US. Go home, apply for jobs, and see if you find one where the employer is willing and able to sponsor a work visa for you.
