Congrats. Your new card is on it's way.

It says they mailed it.

Okay, here's to hoping. The part about it staying in that status from card production till it being mailed kinda had me wondering. The tier 2 I spoke to last week said when it did ship it would show a tracking number. But I guess them being wrong is not a shock LOL

Thanks!

Half the time they don't know what the heck they're talking about. But overall, somehow someway the process seems to work.

Hi,

I think I'm in this situation.

I entered the U.S on June 14 2016 and payed my GC fee on June 15 2016, but up to now I haven't received my receipt number yet.

That which can't permit me to track my case status online.

Is there anyway i can track my case status without the receipt number? Or is there any other options? I call USCIS but they are not able to help me, and referring me to tier 2 .

It is almost two months now, and i'm getting real worried.

Well I was told by the Tier 2 that it is taking a while to do the green cards, around 6 months. Mine is even longer as it seems they it took a while for the paperwork to get from the CBP to USCIS. I entered on Feb 3 2016 and they seemingly have just sent my green card.

I never got a receipt number either, to get it I had to call and speak to a tier 2 and they were able to look it up and give it to me from my alien registration number. But the receipt number didn't work until the card was sent it seems. And the tier 2 told me that is normal as well. I wouldn't really be worried at 2 months. I would call USCIS and get transferred to a tier 2 and tell them you would like your receipt number for the green card production and they should ask for your A-number.

But don't be surprised if it doesn't work even when you get it.

So for now you just have to keep your passport with Visa in it and wait. Probably around 6 months from what I was told.

Thanks for your quick reply, I appreciate it.

I've been calling USCIS , but they always told me that tier 2 is not available for the moment and that they'll call me back. I hope there's no problem.

You always have to get a call back. So just follow the prompts and setup the call back. But don't be shocked if it says like 65 minutes and it takes 3 hours.

I would try to call early on Monday if you can.

Just got my green card in the mail.

I really think based on what the case shows online now, that the service request that the tier 2 did really helped. Because when the tracking started working online it shows their service request reply to me and then less then 2 weeks later they said they had sent it.

Wow! Congrats.

I received my receipt number, but I still can't get detailed information about my case online. It only says you GC is processing, do you know what that means?

Is there anyway I can better track it?

Well if it says that, then you are getting better tracking then I was haha.

It took about 6 months to get my card from the receipt date that the case number gives. Beyond that there is no better way to track it as far as I know.
