Hello All,

My wife have an interview scheduled for July 25th and for 2015 tax return I did file an extension and I am a little concerned. Should I just file my taxes now or is it OK to provide them with my work offer letter, pay stubs for 2015 and last two years tax return?

A work offer letter? I got a letter from my employer that stated my position, date of hire, hourly pay rate, and hours per pay period. I would think if you send that with some recent pay stubs, copies of your 2015 W2s, and a copy of the IRS 2015 extension filing you should be ok.

Work offer letter carries zero weight because you are not actually employed by the employer.

If your current paystubs show what you have been paid year-to-date (YTD) [i have yet to see a paystub that would not have this information], then that alone should be sufficient to show proof of current income.

If you wanted to include a letter from your employer, the offer letter you received is worthless; what you would need to include instead would be a recently written letter from HR that would state what your position is, your current rate of pay, and how long you have been with the company. HR personnel would typically write such a letter.

Too late to do the taxes and get a transcript from IRS for 2015

Send him paystubs for this year with letter from employer stating your yearly income

send him the 2104 and 2013 tax papers and pray this means something

2015 taxes will likely be required. Get them done.

He doesn't have time before the interview

yes, they need to be done as case may go into AP while you wait for IRS to do your taxes so you can get a transcript from them but you won't be able to do by interiew date

not to seem harsh but didn't NVC ask for transcripts before u got this far

i had to send mine to NVC and still provide a copy to him to take to interview

ok, I think that I didn't really explain the situation.

I did sent to the NVC my three years tax returns bu at the time I filed the afidative of support form, it was Mars 2015 and the 2015 tax return was not due yet.

Right now its 2015 and I did file an extension for my 2015 taxes which automatically give me 6 months extension. (my taxes are due by October 15th).

I did call multiple immigration lawyers, called the NVC and both told me that I should be fine but still want to be over prepared than missing something.

Here is what I am going to send:

- 2015 tax estimate (Prepared by H&R block)

-Letter from them stating that I cant file because I am waiting for my wife so we can file together + 2015 W2

- An employment letter

-My last 11 pay-stubs.

-I am also working on getting a Joint-sponsor (my sister) just in case the CO really need to see a 2015 tax return. (I am currently making 90k and know that I dont need a sponsor but Im not gonna loose anything if I get the form just in case)

A joint sponsor doesnt absolve you from having to file taxes. Try sending proof of the extension, that may help.
