Hi,

I have received great advice from fellow Visa applicants on this site in the past and would be most grateful if anyone can suggest the best course of action for me.

I'm a Brit but lived in Italy for 14 years, in 2012 I accidentally caused damage to woodland because of a fire that I had started to burn off branches from the Olive harvest. The Court document that I sent to the Embassy was mis-translated as 'a crime of moral turpitude' namely 'Arson' - I have asked personally for a review of the case and have also had the Senators office ask as well, on both occasions they have fltly refused saying I must apply for a waiver. This week I have been at the Court in Italy where the incident was filed and have found that there were 2 serious errors on the Court document - which the Court admits were errors and have today given me an amended copy of the Court record which clearly states that this was caused by an accident. My question is should 'I' contact the Embassy again personally, would it be better via the Senators office or does anyone have a better idea??

Thanks

And what was the result of the interview?

If this was my case, I would be doing all the heavy work. I would not leave it up to a senators office to 'follow up' especially during an election year.

good luck
