Just did. You missed my later post :)

We applied to the SSN card this morning. Majority of the time was waiting in line before the office opens. When the number was called, it took 5 minutes.

The lady handed back the letter saying we applied but it will take up to 4 weeks due to DHS verification, etc. She said our status was not cleared yet.

i485-i130-i765-i131 packages for spouse/child

7/18: Mailed packages to Chicago lockbox

7/19: Received by USCIS

7/26: Received 8 text/email NOAs

7/27: Checks cashed
7/30: Received 8 hard copy NOAs

8/6: Bio letter received

8/8: Bio done

9/10: Case updated that RFIE was mailed regarding i485

9/17: Received RFIE (needs a cosponsor)

9/23: Mailed back RFIE

Well, that part is over... lets just hope for the best... I'm so anxious reading of all the interviews. We live upstate NY but we have to go NYC for ours... and NYC is back logged. Keep us posted please, did you get your ead/ap or perhaps they wont give it to you yet since your GC may be approved.

Upstate NY? We live in upstate but went for an interview to Buffalo office. It was very fast and got my card within 5 days after interview. NYC usually is pretty busy I guess. Anyways good luck! ??

4 days will make 60 days since they have received our response to RFE... still pressing along. We did get my husband's EAD card in the ail in October, I see all these posts about going to the social security office. We went and got him a SS card on his second week of being in the states. Am i supposed to take him, with his EAD card, and his old SS card back to the SS office to get a new one?

Did you get your SSN card yet?

I got it in the mail today. But I applied 4 weeks ago The day I applied the information didn't go through with the immigration so they told me that would take up to four weeks because they would need to apply the next days or something like that, so I went back last Monday and my application actually was pending yet I don't know what went wrong or if the person that work there didn't applied but I had to apply again last Monday and I stayed in the office until the application went through with the immigration next day they called me to go back to get the number I went there and got only the number and took four days to get the card on my mailbox

I don't think you do. His card probably states that it is only valid with dhs authorization which would be the EAD Card. I wouldn't worry about it. I applied for my SSN 3 days after entering the country. Even the guide on this forum recommends it. I was able to use it throughout my whole i485 application etc...which is probably a nice little gimmick if you can fill those gaps. ;)

No no I am completely understanding of your anxiousness, I completely get it trust me. I am in New York, so I don't expect to hear of an interview until March - May.
