I am sorry to hear that.. $1070 is for AOS I-485, if you are submitting N400 should only be around $600? I am not sure, I am assuming you sent them more money..call them and I wish you good luck!!

We are a K1 to greencard couple, so we do the I-485. $1070 is the correct amount, just like everyone else. (Can you tell I'm delaying giving the government a call.... /sigh) :P

Yep, "U.S. Department of Homeland Security" just like the stamp on the check they sent back.

Best thing to do now is call them . What is your AOS base on?

Ha! No dice...... I spoke with a very nice woman, but she wasn't able to help me. They said based on the information I gave them, I submitted all the correct documents and paid the correct amount. They asked me to call back "at my earliest convenience" (I asked if later this afternoon would be good and they said I could try...) and ask to have the call 'escalated' when their call volume wasn't so high. Unfortunately, they weren't able to start any paper trail or notes, I'll just be calling again and starting all over on the whole story.... #patience #calmblueocean #dealingwithbureaucracy :P

Here is my document list. Don't know if I might get RFE in the future or not. But at least it passed the first step.

ask to speak to a Teir 2 rep

Call #2

(went as well as the title suggests....) <_<

Called back and asked to have my call escalated. Again, very polite lady, but she was unable to transfer to Tier 2 rep as those lines were all closed. She asked if I would like to make a request for a call back and said that may take up to 3-5 days. I said I was willing to request a call-back, she said that unfortunately the computer system was not allowing her to request a call-back and asked me to call back at a later time and try again.... So, no progress, but I did learn that their call center is open till M-F 8-6 local time, so I'll just keep bothering them every hour or so until I can get some action.

I sure am lucky I have today off, I'll just keep doing chores until call #3!

(I'm getting so much done today at home, if only I could get so much done on the phone!) :P

Third time is a charm....?

We were able to speak to another polite woman about our problem. They were able to open up a call-back customer service ticket this time. They said they would deal with this issue within the next 5 business days. We will continue to call back tomorrow and try to speak with a live tier 2 representative. They said the morning time was best for speaking with the next level of customer service. At the very least, they will have to deal with us within the next 5 business day. Hurrah for small victories!
