Mine just changed as well and it gave a tracking number. Guess our cards were in the same batch :-)

14 August 2015 : Mailed I-129F through USPS express service

02 September 2015 : Received NOA1 hard copy by mail.

05 October 2015 : Case number was assigned.

20 October 2015 : Packet 3 arrived in my hand.

03 November 2015 : Got Packet 4 e-mail from Bangkok embassy about the interview date.

18 November 2015 : Visa interview and it was approved!

20 November 2015 : Got documents and a passport with K1 Visa back in my hands

I believe you need SSN to apply for job and for bank account SSN is not necessary. I live in CA and I don't have my SSN yet but I have 1 personal bank account and 1 joint account with my husbans. I also have a CA driver's license

Hello everyone, I have a question. Do I need SSN to get a simple job like in customer service or fast food restaurant?

And do I need SSN to open my own bank account?

11/03/2016: We had out interview in Los Angeles CA. Our IO said they don't normally approve on the spot anymore and she gave us a paper saying "your case is being held for interview". The IO also said she is new, therefore she need to talk to her supervisor. Additionally she showed us a pile of cases that is being held for review, so it looks like it will take a while to get an answer about our case.

11/07/2016: EAD card was mailed to me

11/09/2016: EAD card received. Applied for SSN, needs verification will take up to 4 weeks.

11/10/2016: went back to SSA office with my unexpired passport, got verified right away.

11/10/2016: SSN card received

12/28/2016: I-485 status updated to "New Card Being Produced",later in the day updated to "Case was approved"; I-130 status updated to "Case approved"

(1 month, 3 weeks & 4 days after the interview) & (5 months & 2 days after filing AOS)

1/03/2016: Receive I-797 approval letter for I-130 & I-485; status updated to "New Card Being Produced"

1/04/2016: Welcome letter received; status updated to "Card was Mailed"

1/06/2017: 2 year green card received :D

Its great everyone is receiving and anticipating for the combo cards and interview.. My i-765 and i-131 is still at case received. I did my fingerprint on 9/21 and i-485 still shows fingerprint fee received on 7/22... sigh...

yay! My EAD Case status changed to CARD WAS MAILED but my AP is still APPROVED.

my EAD and AP was approved 80 odd days ago and my AP still says approved it never changed to mailed this is also the case with allor of other people there AP just stayed at approved so its fairly normal to stay at that status.. only my EAD changed to mailed since it was combo card that got mailed and the AP is on the EAD card

I went today to Social security office and my information didn't went through with DHS ? So will take 3-5 days to approve then up to 4 weeks to get the card. I really hope it goes faster than that.

No I'm not I had a tourist visa came to USA to see my husband family and end up staying here and now I'm just doing AOS for the green card

I see.. Yeah, unfortunately the card really takes a month or so..

I have yet to change my card because i have the DHS restriction on it. It might take a month too.

I went today to Social security office and my information didn't went through with DHS ? So will take 3-5 days to approve then up to 4 weeks to get the card. I really hope it goes faster than that.

i didnt have that issue at the SS office it got approved on the spot and i recieved my car within 5days... once i got my SSN in the mail i went to DMV to get my drivers license and i couldnt get it cause DHS couldnt verify my immigration status yet they could perfectly fine the previous week to approve my SSN application. It's stragne how it works... DMV told me it takes upto 3 weeks to get cleared but the next day DHS cleared me... FYI you can log into the SAVE website that will let you know in real time the staus of the approval.. All you need is some information from your EAD card and it iwll allow you access to your request youve made

People, I have a question, do I need to get an appointment for SSN office? or I can just walk-in to drop off application for SSN?

P.S. Went with my husband to the bank today and EAD was enough to add me to his account but they want me to bring SSN once I get it.
