Are they serious about the checklist for the interview?? Haha it's basically the entire application all over again. Not sure why we had to send everything initially.

When you case gets transferred to other locations sometimes documents gets lost during the transfer... if the documents get "misplaced" while being transferred when you turn up at the interview you can give them the missing documents... if not you will get a RFE for them at the interview... this doesn't happen often but it can happen even tho it's uscis at fault if it were to occur... it's better to have everything and be over prepared at the interview then lack on docuemnts

It's been 80 days since uscis received my documents for EAD/AP and the status is still "case was received".

I sent a service request yesterday night and they have completed it earlier today saying "Your case is currently under review. You should receive a decision or notice of other action shortly".

Hi I am in California too, Los Angeles to be exact. I still don't have my EAD but our interview is scheduled on Nov 4. Where in CA are you?

Yay, I received two text message says my cases are updated. So it did. My EAD and AP cases are approved after 78 days. Now I'm gonna wait for it to be produced and shipped.

Hi, i'm in San Francisco bay area. Warmer than SF city. ;)

Did they schedule the interview for us? Or after the case status changed into " ready to schedule for interview" then we go online and schedule it ourselves?

They schedule the interview and send you a letter with the date and instructions. It may take quite a while for them to set the date, I know there are people waiting since March and nothing yet. It will depend on your field offices workload and backlog.

Hmm... i guess mine won't be so optimistic because when i was walked in to get my biometrics done. The office is full of immigrants just like me.

Oh well, as long as i have the work permit and AP, I'm not that concern about my interview date.

Btw, I was told by Chinese agency that it takes within 6 months for K-1 visa holders to receive their GC in CA.

I've noticed cases are going faster these past few months, but it's always best to expect a longer wait and be pleasantly surprised when it takes less time, than want it to go very fast and be disappointed that takes longer.

Hopefully like the other poster shared, you'll get your interview soon. Good luck!

Grrrrrr! My I-485 case updated from "As of September 6 your Case is ready to be scheduled for interview" to "As of October 4 your Case is ready to be scheduled for interview". What a heck are they doing with my case? I'm so anxious about not having any updates on my EAD for 77 days already (even with Service Request), and that looks like they are playing with me :(

Did anyone have the same weird case update recently?
