Wow!!! I did'nt know that it will be longer than I expected. Some people got their combo cards after a week of approval ? Can't wait to have mine too so i can apply my drivers license here. I thought I have to call Uscis since its been 11 days approved and my case is not changing the status. Well... i need to buy PATIENCE ?

Thanks anyways!

Not trying to discourage you, you're absolutely correct most people in the timelines have been getting their cards in 7-10 days. Same can be said about approvals between 75-85 days. Unfortunately that isn't everyone. EAD/AP should be a rubber stamp process for those K1 AOS'ers like ourselves because a) we are already here and b) we're attempting to be legal taxpaying workers, no downside for the USA. They had a chance to reject your K1 application, your K1 interview, your arrival screening and will again if you come back on parole. There are people receiving AOS approval prior to EAD/AP - how is that even possible given the amount of information required with an AOS and supporting evidence vs the simple AP/EAD forms? Meanwhile they are approving citizenship applications for people that were supposed to be deported, good job USCIS.

There seems to be an issue for people with approval / production dates the last two weeks, not a lot of receptions. Call USCIS and they'll stick to the 30 day language and that you have to wait. My concern would be if the IO didn't press the production button, and I would call a Tier2 IO to verify that your card production status (has been requested for production / has been produced) if you haven't seen it already. This should all be automated but when you look at the results, that is not the case and there are is no recourse besides your state representatives and Ombudsman, which can be limited and slow.

If the DMV can print me a drivers liscense in 10 minutes, so should the USCIS be able to. Or at least there should be an option to have it done at the local office with an infopass appointment (similar to the i551 stamp for approved GC).

I received RFIE too asking to do co-sponsor. It took 17 days from the RFIE online notice to change to RFIE received and case resume. It took us 1 week to do the paperwork for co-sponsor because my co-sponsor is living in a different state.

I don't know how long it takes to get back to EAD/AP update but mojogirl timeline shows 10 days from RFIE received. So hopefully I will have the card mid Oct.

In any case I will try to do a service request on EAD/AP on Monday.

Hi everyone,

I mailed my packet to the Chicago Lockbox Facility last 9/24 and until now I have not received an acknowledgement from USCIS when in fact I filed for e-notification.

Please advise on what steps I should take.

Thanks.

When do you start the count if the EAD? The time they received it? My NOA for my EAD does not have a priority date.

Yes. Thats the time your aos was filed. :)

Yes. Theyll give you an update anytime soon. Sometimes it's sooner. :)

I'm sorry but ROC is taking forever right now. The officer who interview us said i should apply for citizenship as soon as I am eligible so they're forced to adjudicate the ROC case.

My understanding is that you must have received the EAD/AP card physically in order to be able to work and/or travel. Sounds like some companies are more flexible about it, but in my case they are a large multinational company and they required the actual card for me to start.

As an aside, I just got back into the US today using advanced parole. No problems whatsoever other than having to wait for the second verification.

N-400 filed online: Nov 23

NOA issued: Nov 24

sooo seems like my case is going slower than it should be in comparison to July filers even though I filed it July 5th. Even after calling them about the biometrics and submitting a request for it thinking it was lost in the mail, they sent me a package with all the papers they sent so far RFE and receipts. So I guess the Biometrics letter has not been sent to me yet for whatever reason. This is getting really stressful really fast I should at least have an appointment set by now :(

I wonder what the problem is...
