Our RFIE was received today at MO address. I'm going to see if there is any update on my case by the end of this week.

Our case numbers for EAD/AP/130 are not working until now, only 485 numbers are working.

I will do a SR on the 75th day of EAD if we haven't heard anything since then.

i485-i130-i765-i131 packages for spouse/child

7/18: Mailed packages to Chicago lockbox

7/19: Received by USCIS

7/26: Received 8 text/email NOAs

7/27: Checks cashed
7/30: Received 8 hard copy NOAs

8/6: Bio letter received

8/8: Bio done

9/10: Case updated that RFIE was mailed regarding i485

9/17: Received RFIE (needs a cosponsor)

9/23: Mailed back RFIE

9/27: Case update: RFIE received by USCIS and case resumed

10/3: Created SR for my EAD as it's been 75 days.

10/14: Contacted congressman office to inquiry/expedite

10/19: EAD card ordered, AP approved

11/1: EAD/AP was mailed

11/3: EAD/AP received

11/4: Applied for SSN

12/2: SSN card received

12/2: Applied and got learner license

8/14/17: Got email/txt for interview scheduled Sept 19

9/19/17: Interview

9/23/17: received approval notice and GC in the mail

I'm happy to finally say that the status today finally switched to NEW CARD IS BEING PRODUCED!!! I'm so glad to see the finish line after all this struggle! well at least there will be no more of this

Mine is working the next day of receiving text message. But other still have not worked for months unless you call them after you finish your Bio to let them know.

Received the hard copy notice for my EAD and AP approval today. Fingers crossed that the combination card will be sent out soon.

For those who have received their cards how long did it take to receive it from the date of receiving the approval?

Hi, I got my approval notice for AP in the mail today. But nothing on my EAD. Status online is the same, AP is approved and EAD still showing case was recieved.

Is it possible that I will only get AP and not my EAD eventhough I applied for both at the same time?

Mine was the same but showed ead approved but nothing on ap....I got the combo card

I'm in the same boat - got my interview data but no update on EAD yet. From what I've heard, we could still get it before the interview.

Does anyone know if all goes well at the interview and we're approved, whether we get anything there and then which will allow us to show prospective employers we can legally work or do we have to wait until we have the Green Card in hand? (This is assuming the EAD hasn't arrived by then). Thanks!

you can request the I551 stamp.. its basically a stamp they put it in youre passport that shows you have the green card approved but you just dont have the physical card in hand... Depending on the officer you have they may not be authorized to use that stamp so sometimes if they say there no authorized to do so they can get there supervisor to stamp it or you need to go back on an info pass appointment to get it stamped.. Its more than possible to still get you EAD before your interview.. someone from the april filer got there EAD approved a week before there interview and received there EAD card in the mail the day before there interview so it is possible to still get it approved before hand

Glad to see this topic on here. It seems very helpful. Hope it all goes smoothly for everyone.

We had a couple bumps down the road already since we filed our application including receipts taking forever to get here and getting an RFE.

However, we are still trying to keep a positive attitude.

I do have a question for you guys if you can help that'd be great :)

We filed our application July 5th and we did not receive a Biometrics appointment letter yet. Do you think it has been too long and maybe we should try and call them about it?

Yes, you need to get in touch with them about that. I filed in July and my NOA is 5th August and my biometrics were done on 29th August. You should of had them taken by now.

07/19/2016 - Sent AOS, EAD, AP documents in the post with 2 day priority USPS

07/28/2016 - Package delivered very late as was delayed somewhere in transit

08/09/2016 - Text and email notifications starting at 12.41am (texts came first and then email).

08/12/2016 - Get 3 NOA's in the post with the filing date 07/29/2016 and the NOA date 08/05/2016

08/19/2016 - Get biometrics appointment letter in the post. Scheduled for 08/29/2016 at 1:00pm

08/29/2016 - Biometrics appointment done - quick and easy!

10/13/2016 - EAD and AP approved!
10/27/2016 - EAD status updated to "Card Mailed To Me".
10/31/2016 - EAD/AP combo card received in mail.

02/04/2017 - I-485 case status goes straight to "Card is being Produced" (Approved without interview). 

02/06/2017 - I-485 case status changes to "Case Approved"

02/07/2017 - I-485 case status changes to "Card was Mailed to Me".

Yes, you need to get in touch with them about that. I filed in July and my NOA is 5th August and my biometrics were done on 29th August. You should of had them taken by now.

Thanks for responding :) I just called them about it and they said someone has already submitted a request for missing document for the biometrics letter on September 6th and I should wait until Oct 6th and call again if I don't get it. Although I'm not sure how the request happened, it was probably done when I called last about the late receipts. Not sure why there is always some kind of issue with receiving documents in the mail. It's not like I live in some rural area. Hopefully I get it soon :)

I'm just asking as I've not Recieved anything in the mailbox yet but wondered if it's worth seeing if anything has been left for me in the apartment offices where all the big mail goes. Thanks!!

It's a bigger envelope, but not by much from the regular notices you got. It fit well inside a regular mailbox.
