Have my combo card in hand!! Probably a dumb question but what happens after a year and it expires...do you reapply or is it given to you!

Nice congrats Chrisete. I don't think you need to renew or reapply unless you don't have 2 years Green Card. It happened sometimes since the AOS process take longer than a year in some states. I'm still waiting for my combo card. It was mailed to me since Sep 16 but I still dont have it.

I'm happy to finally say that the status today finally switched to NEW CARD IS BEING PRODUCED!!! I'm so glad to see the finish line after all this struggle! well at least there will be no more of this

Mine is working the next day of receiving text message. But other still have not worked for months unless you call them after you finish your Bio to let them know.

Congrats! As ken88 says, the EAD should cover you until you get your Green Card. If the Green Card process does take longer than a year though, I believe you can apply for an extension on the EAD.

Hey everyone, We don't post much, because there is not much to post. Just an update. As you can see from our timeline (if you use the mobile app you can't see the signature), We sent everything in to Chicago on the 19th of July, did the Bio Appointment on 15th of August. Today EAD (I-765) changed to card being produced. So, all in all, that's not too bad, 64 days since we can applied. Now the husband can get a job and start the driver's license process.

We were a bit surprised about the change today, so don't give up hope, as we were starting too as waiting is the hardest part.

I just the next step will be either "Ready to schedule for interview" or "Request for (Initial) Evidence." Does this usually happen around the time they approve your I-765? Or could it be months of waiting for the green card. The EAD is a big relief and it should change our lives and routines significantly, so we are glad for that. Good luck to all! By the way, our field office is West Palm Beach, FL.

We check the app like crazy, but I think that is because everyone else here seems to do so. I must say that, in our case, we probably don't need to check the app because we get texts right away when there are updates. It has been like this since day 1 and our receipt numbers worked the minute we looked them.

I got my Combo EAD today. It is exactly 10 days to receive my card. I also pass the learning test. Thing are moving along now. Now I'm continue waiting for interview to be scheduled. Good luck everyone

So great to hear your EAD finally arrived! Quick question: where was your card mailed from? Was it from Missouri?

God never forget anyone I made a SR for my EAD online yesterday cuz it's been 75 days and today baam new card is being produce.. thank u lord

Recieved hardcopies of the approval notices for EAD and AP 19th September 2016
EAD status changed to "Card mailed" - 22nd September 2016
EAD/AP combo card in hand - 29th September 2016
AOS Interview - 21st December 2016 - Approved!!
Card Production ordered. - 21st December 2016
AOS status changed to "Card was mailed" - 27th December 2016

Recieved Greencard in the mail - 29th December 2016

ROC - September 2018
