Funny thing... I call to speak to tier 2...they're not available and they will not give me any updates or info without the hubby here...and I'm the petitioner!!!!! So frustrating to see people who filed weeks after us already getting ap/ead approval!!!! And I can't even get an update! This is sooooooo frustratingly irritating!!!!?

Same here! And when I spook to them to make the special request they said the system is down ARGHHHHHHHH

AOS Timeline [Husband is the USC, got married to foreign wife on May 31, 2016 (who was on F1) we both share this account]

June 25, 2016: AOS Package sent with EAD and AP request

June 30, 2016: Checks cashed

July 02, 2016: NOAs Received in mail (they have misspell my wife's name on 2 of the 4 letters they sent us)

July 04, 2016: Electronic NOA1s Received + USCIS online case status shown as "case received"

July 18, 2016: Received biometrics appointment letter in mail (scheduled July 28)

July 28, 2016: Biometrics appointment taken as scheduled, also have my name corrected at the center

Sep 09, 2016: Submitted Service Request since it has passed the 75 day time mark

Sep 12, 2016: Received Service Request Response: case is within our current processing time

Sep 12, 2016: AOS status changed to "interview ready to be scheduled" . EAD & AP case status remain unchanged.

Sep 20, 2016: EAD status changed to ready to deliver, AP case status remain unchanged.

Oct 04, 2016: AP case status remain unchanged but EAD and AP combo card was received in mailbox.

Hello did you have to pay to request expedite processing? Where did you fax this to?

My H1b expires 9/30/16...

Don't need extra pay. Just call the 1-800# then talk to a real person and request to expedite. I choosed severe financial lost to the company and individual and told them the reason I need to expedite.. The lady said I will get feedback in 5 days.. then I got an email request me fax my supporting documents to a dedicated place.

Sent out package on 7/25 and I got my EAD and AP approved on 9/6! I requested to expedite my EAD based on job offer on 8/25 then faxed the offer letter and employer letter on 9/2, then saw online, status changed to approved!

BTW, my online status didn't work until 9/6. Before that, it showed the case number doea not exist. Even for now, my I485 status still not available so don't worry about that online status thing. It will be updated sooner or later.

Is expedite request = service request? Or are they different?

Do you think it's just because the Phoenix office has a backlog? I'm also in AZ but with a different local office so maybe that's why. Fingers crossed you will hear very soon!

Is expedite request = service request? Or are they different?

believe it should be the same.. when you talk to the real person, she will ask what you are calling for. Then follow her questions/requests to provide any information needed. She will provide you a REF# then you will hear back by email or mail in 5 days about the result. I got email in 3 days and asked me to fax the supporting documents. I did and they replied they got my documents and my case in under review on 9/2, then got approved on 9/6.

11/03/2016: We had out interview in Los Angeles CA. Our IO said they don't normally approve on the spot anymore and she gave us a paper saying "your case is being held for interview". The IO also said she is new, therefore she need to talk to her supervisor. Additionally she showed us a pile of cases that is being held for review, so it looks like it will take a while to get an answer about our case.

11/07/2016: EAD card was mailed to me

11/09/2016: EAD card received. Applied for SSN, needs verification will take up to 4 weeks.

11/10/2016: went back to SSA office with my unexpired passport, got verified right away.

11/10/2016: SSN card received

12/28/2016: I-485 status updated to "New Card Being Produced",later in the day updated to "Case was approved"; I-130 status updated to "Case approved"

(1 month, 3 weeks & 4 days after the interview) & (5 months & 2 days after filing AOS)

1/03/2016: Receive I-797 approval letter for I-130 & I-485; status updated to "New Card Being Produced"

1/04/2016: Welcome letter received; status updated to "Card was Mailed"

1/06/2017: 2 year green card received :D

I think there is a backlog at Phoenix but until last week, no one could find my case, I spoke to USCIS last Tuesday and she told me she had my case up on the screen but it hadn't been assigned a biometrics date yet,so I'm just waiting again, hoping to hear something I'm not sure how long it takes to assign a biometrics appointment, but I'm hoping to hear something soon otherwise I have to call back in two weeks,

AP is still showing as case received though???

So happy to hear that and see you here again...we filed on the same day but my NOA date was July 11th and I got an RFIE :( boo...this process has done nothign to help with my OCD and constant status checking.
