Did it just started showing online today?

Online case status just working. 60 days from Receipt. only 130/485 working but AP and EAD still giving error.

Buo done 8/31, but status still not reflected online.

No RFE so far, hope there is none, as I fouble checked my forms and attachments.

12/18/2015: Got married to the love of my life (L)(L)(L)

07/26/2016 Mailed I-130,I-485 & I-765

07/27/2016 Delivered at Chicago Lock Box with signature confirmation

08/04/2016 Both checks are cashed

08/09/2016 Received NOA1 via text for I-130 & I-485

08/11/2016 Received NOA1 hard copy via mail for I-130 & I-485 (I-765 is rejected, forgot to sign)

08/12/2016 Mailed I-765

08/13/2016 Delivered at Chicago Lock Box

08/15/2016 Picked up at the Chicago Lock Box with signature confirmation

08/05/2016 Received NOA1 hard copy via mail for I-765

08/19/2016 Received Biometrics Appointment letter (2pm at Bellflower location)

08/24/2016 Successful early walk-in for Biometrics Appointment at Bellflower location.

10/03/2016: I-485 is scheduled for interview on November 3, 2016

10/28/2016: EAD card being produced

11/03/2016: We had out interview in Los Angeles CA. Our IO said they don't normally approve on the spot anymore and she gave us a paper saying "your case is being held for interview". The IO also said she is new, therefore she need to talk to her supervisor. Additionally she showed us a pile of cases that is being held for review, so it looks like it will take a while to get an answer about our case.

11/07/2016: EAD card was mailed to me

11/09/2016: EAD card received. Applied for SSN, needs verification will take up to 4 weeks.

11/10/2016: went back to SSA office with my unexpired passport, got verified right away.

11/10/2016: SSN card received

12/28/2016: I-485 status updated to "New Card Being Produced",later in the day updated to "Case was approved"; I-130 status updated to "Case approved"

(1 month, 3 weeks & 4 days after the interview) & (5 months & 2 days after filing AOS)

1/03/2016: Receive I-797 approval letter for I-130 & I-485; status updated to "New Card Being Produced"

1/04/2016: Welcome letter received; status updated to "Card was Mailed"

1/06/2017: 2 year green card received :D

I'm happy to finally say that the status today finally switched to NEW CARD IS BEING PRODUCED!!! I'm so glad to see the finish line after all this struggle! well at least there will be no more of this

Yes it did...it said that it was received and they will resume working on my case again...I've been told that USCIS will stop the clock at the day they sent it out and resume on the day they receive the response to be within normal processing times. So....I am officially now at day 59 subtracting from my time out...that's was so frustrating as I somehow used the old 485 form and not the latest version...<grumpy about that> but its all good now.

Nervous though that they will want something else but the more time that goes by is comforting that its going to be smoother from here on out...praying for that!!

Congrats to everyone moving along. I hope my RFE comes soon or I will have to wait 2 more weeks to request another copy. Sucks! Anyways my wife and myself will be going on vacation for this weekend. Cant wait to get away from home and just enjoy another state.

What is considered "humanitarian reasons" for filing for Advanced Parole?

When my spouse and I filled out his paperwork, we decided NOT to apply for Advanced Parole. According to the USCIS website, the purpose of the form is "To apply for a re-entry permit, refugee travel document or advance parole travel document, to include parole into the U.S. for humanitarian reasons."

Unless I don't grasp all of the reasons for using this document, going back to Spain to spend Christmas with your family does not seem to be a case for humanitarian reasons. As I stated previously, perhaps I don't understand all the uses for an AP document. Can someone kindly explain this to me in more detail? Thanks very much.

We had the same question as you. That was the main reason we didnt apply for ead/ap. Once we saw people were applying for it to use on vacations we sent it in. We just put tbd in the boxes for destination and length.

Thanks for your quick reply.

I guess we understand the concept of Advance Parole in the same way. Maybe I've watched too many episodes of National Geographic's "Border Security" where the ultimate decision about admission into the United States lies with the Immigration Officer, and we decided not to take any chances here. We also figured that if everyone is applying for them, resources are being used yo render a decision on the AP. We just hate to leave things to chance, and usually Murphy's Law applies! Why tempt fate! Anyway, Good luck to you as well with the processing of your case!

When I applied to AP with my AOS forms I added a separate page explaining my reasons for AP (It says you need to put this on a separate sheet). I have no pressing issues right now to leave the states however, I put on the paper that I was applying for AP incase of a family emergency. That was my reason for applying for my AP and it was just for emergencies. It generally is best to try and wait until you get your green card until you travel out of the country, just to be on the safe side.

(Non-US ladies) Remember as well, If you're traveling on your passport with your maiden name and your green card is in your married name then you'll need to bring your marriage certificate as proof of your name change. The reason why is, your plane ticket would say your maiden name and your passport would too. However, having your green card in your new married name will flag up and they'll want proof of this change. Happened to my sister in law and I've read on forums here it's happened to other people. To some people it may seem like common sense but it's so easy to forget these things and then it's a pain in the ### at immigration. Hope this helps.
