Just spoke to tier 2, the lady was nice and told me my case is in their system, I do not yet have an appointment time or date set for my biometics appointment but she told me to just wait.

I asked her about the infopass appointment and she told me to cancel it as they wont be able to help as no date has been set yet so they would just tell me the same, I have to wait 3 weeks then if nothing to call back.

It seems USCIS had not uploaded in their system a bunch of applicatikns, after the receipt notice was issued.

Thats why they were neither appearing on the case status webpage, nor biometrics letters were issued.

Now all fixed. Biometrics letters are on the way, but it may take some time before their website shows the status.

At least no need to refile

Nkgeicher

Hello Nkgeicher,

Thank you for sharing. Where did you call? Did they tell you why bunch of applications were not uploaded? just simple system issu?

I had the same problem and just spoke to USCIS the tier 2 lady told me it was a fault in their system and a lot of cases didn't scan through so they had to rescan a lot of them. Your best bet is to ring USCIS asap and ask to speak to a tier 2 representative then just tell them you have not Recieved your biometics appointment and ask them to check your case and see if a date/time has been set. It seems like a load of cases have just been put on the system some have already been allocated appoiments and some are still waiting.

call USCIS (800) 375-5283 then press 1 followed by 2 2 2 to speak to a representative as at first it's an automated voice talking giving the options. Then once you speak to someone ask for a tier 2 representative as they will have more information on your case than tier 1 can access. Let us know how you get on!

Thank you so much YorkshiretoAZ! The number I knew but 1 2 2 2 helped me greatly! Thank you for the tip.

The lady who got my call said there were many calls to tier 2 reps today so they are not taking any more calls. However she helped me by requesting a service for my I-485. My I-485 was received 7/18 and she said it is over the appropriate processing time for me to get a bio letter. She gave me a referral number so I can check status later.

For I-765 the normal processing time is 75 days to 90 days so she cannot help until the 75 days passes first..

I should have called them earlier than I might have gotten the bio letter faster..

Now I will have to wait and see. She was not able to find out if I have RFE for my case or if it was completely approved.

Thank you so much YorkshiretoAZ.

Hello Everybody!

I have been following this thread since it started and since I decided to adjust my status from F1. It's been very helpful reading everyone's stories and experiences. A short story about me: I met my wife last year, we got married in March. At that time, I didn't need to adjust my status because I was still on OPT and was getting in the U.S. Army through the MAVNI Program. MAVNI is a program that allows foreigners who live legally (under certain visas) in the U.S and who have certain languages skills or medical degrees to enlist in the U.S. Army. Unfortunately, the program reached its quota and closed before I signed my contract. And worse thing, it closed a month before my OPT expires. As soon as the program closed, my wife and I decided to file for an adjustment of status beginning of July. Long story short, yesterday my wife and I receive an RIFE asking for I-864. However, it turns out my wife doesn't make enough to cover that up. I now regret why I didn't file for it when I was still on OPT... My salary would have covered everything. So our only options right now are: Her mother and my host parents. Apparently her mom, which according to previous posts would be the perfect person to do it, but she doesn't wanna be part of it. Thus, I guess I will have to talk to my host parents, who might be willing to. My question is: Will I just have to ask to my host parents to file that I-864 or should they file I-864A. I'm a bit confused about that.

I look forward reading everyone's responses.

Hello I think it is I-864 but it will be the best to check with the lawyer because everyone's case if different.

I submitted I-864 with my brother in law after confirming with my lawyer that it is fine. For this type of information you can find in USCIS where it will be the best source of information.

Their instructions explains very well.

Mine still do not work. However, I think my case is processing normally this week I received a letter from them about my medical exam. I did not include it in the packet because my lawyer told me that since Houston's field office takes almost a year to process, It was likely that I would have to do my medicals twice, and that I could just bring them to the interview without a problem to avoid paying twice. The letter I got from them states exactly that. I can bring them to the interview.

So to get back to you..lol I don't think there is a problem with the case numbers not working on their website. Your case seems to be progressing normally because even without the case numbers working you received your bio letter and were able to do it without a problem.

You need to fie I-864 yourself, ofcourse, your sponsors need to sign everything that needs to be signed, you need to submit their birthcertificate or bio page of their passport or anything that can prove that they are US citizens.

by the way, I also planned to join the MAVNI program before but it never pushed through. but I'll join the military once i get my gc...

Best of luck FabFab007! Update us!
