I included last 3 years and assets even i made over the limit just to be safe. In theory the 3 years tax return is optional but uacis can request more documents if you are borderline on the limit or your income varies greatly yearly.

So they just wanted tax returns for 2014 and 2015? Had you included them in your initial packet?

My husband sent just the cover letter of it and it's not that big deal anyway

just to make sure I mailed both!

I thought on the Affidavit of support it said that you needed the most recent tax year and it's optional to send the other two years. That's wrong if you get an RFE for that. Very misleading! I sent three with my package incase but you shouldn't get an RFE.

Good luck! Hope it moves quickly for you!

I've booked an infopass appointment to find out what's going on withe my case, I spoke to a guy from USCIS on the phone today who was really nice he was very chatty and he tried all my case numbers and stated they still didn't work for him either, he said the best thing to do is go for the infopass appointment and go from there. He did say I might have to reapply with my NOA1 notifications so I don't pay again but he thinks my file has possibly been held up somewhere, it was nice to chat to someone who was nice and made the time to listen to my concerns.

I'll let you all know how I get on or if I hear anything else soon!

How frustrating for you. Hang in there, it will end at some point. I went through the whole AOS, USC process almost 10 years ago. After I had my citizenship interview, I got no update for 4 months and I have to write to my senator, congressman, etc.

Now, I'm doing it for my wife and stepson and we can only pray for a smooth process. It's been a stressful process and I hope you can keep a positive perspective that it's part of life and don't get too stressed about it.

Almost two weeks since my AP card "was produced." I'm getting the sense that this was a false alarm, and they just meant the stamped paper NOA that they sent to me for the second time... It did seem too good to be true!

N-400 filed online: Nov 23

NOA issued: Nov 24

Are there others who cannot get status of their AOS case (or the AP, EAD) online or by calling ?

Have any of you received your biometrics appointment ? Or are you still waiting for it ?

By checking case numbers before and after, I get the sense that there are about 400+/- case

numbers that are not trackable.

Our case number is MSC1691356xxx.

You call the 800 number press the button to find out about a case type in your case number... It's going to ramble on about the last update then once it's done I will give you more option press the button that says "report something wrong with your case" that will put you through to a real person... The person your put through to can only see what you can see about your case so if you want more information I would ask to be transferred to a tier 2 officer they can look more into your case than what a tier 1 can

If you try tracking closer to my number you will see what I mean.

Let me give you a number closer to mine.MSC1691356276

Yep.

There are April filers who can't track the numbers but their case processed normally. It's a mystery of why it works for some, not for others.

Hello I am new to Visa Journey.

Receipt notice said it was accepted July 25th; ever since I have no update at all.

My case is not found on USCIS case status like many others here.

I feel Chicago Lockbox is slower than the other ones; probably many cases they have..

One thing I know though is that this doesnt move in order.

I dont know based on what they put it up online... however it is not in order.

My number is MSC1691369xxx

I hope I can hear something soon. My H1 ends 9/30/2016...
