7/18: Mailed packages to Chicago lockbox

7/19: Received by USCIS

7/26: Received 8 text/email NOAs

7/27: Checks cashed
7/30: Received 8 hard copy NOAs

8/6: Bio letter received

8/8: Bio done

9/10: Case updated that RFIE was mailed regarding i485

9/17: Received RFIE (needs a cosponsor)

9/23: Mailed back RFIE

9/27: Case update: RFIE received by USCIS and case resumed

10/3: Created SR for my EAD as it's been 75 days.

10/14: Contacted congressman office to inquiry/expedite

10/19: EAD card ordered, AP approved

11/1: EAD/AP was mailed

11/3: EAD/AP received

11/4: Applied for SSN

12/2: SSN card received

12/2: Applied and got learner license

8/14/17: Got email/txt for interview scheduled Sept 19

9/19/17: Interview

9/23/17: received approval notice and GC in the mail

I'm happy to finally say that the status today finally switched to NEW CARD IS BEING PRODUCED!!! I'm so glad to see the finish line after all this struggle! well at least there will be no more of this

11/03/2016: We had out interview in Los Angeles CA. Our IO said they don't normally approve on the spot anymore and she gave us a paper saying "your case is being held for interview". The IO also said she is new, therefore she need to talk to her supervisor. Additionally she showed us a pile of cases that is being held for review, so it looks like it will take a while to get an answer about our case.

11/07/2016: EAD card was mailed to me

11/09/2016: EAD card received. Applied for SSN, needs verification will take up to 4 weeks.

11/10/2016: went back to SSA office with my unexpired passport, got verified right away.

11/10/2016: SSN card received

12/28/2016: I-485 status updated to "New Card Being Produced",later in the day updated to "Case was approved"; I-130 status updated to "Case approved"

(1 month, 3 weeks & 4 days after the interview) & (5 months & 2 days after filing AOS)

1/03/2016: Receive I-797 approval letter for I-130 & I-485; status updated to "New Card Being Produced"

1/04/2016: Welcome letter received; status updated to "Card was Mailed"

1/06/2017: 2 year green card received :D

Are these receipt numbers processed sequentially? Does anyone have any idea about that? Sounds logical that they process sequentially, but who's to say?

7/8/2016: Fedexed application package

7/11/2016: I-485, I-765, and I-131 received by USCIS

7/14/2016: USCIS accepted the fingerprint fee for Form I-485

7/23/2016: Notice for Biometrics appointment for 8/11/2016

8/5/2016: Successful walk-in for biometrics in Birmingham AL

9/3/2016: Received Interview Notice for registering as permanent resident in the mail on 10/5/2016. (Text message received on 9/5/16)

9/21/2016 : Status change to "EAD card is being produced". received text message.

10/5/2016: Interview for AOS. Approved for Green Card! (interview lady was thorough)

10/5/2016 1pm:Text message notice "New Card is Being Produced" for Green Card.

10/5/2016 3pm: EAD mailed to me

10/5/2016 9pm: AOS / GC approved

10/7/2016: Combo card received

10/13/2016 : Green Card received

Ain't it funny now how worried I was in July?

USCIS willl tell you process everything in order but this is not correct if that was the case then how are people get updates weeks or months before other people who filed after them... honestly i think what happens is all the applications get routed to NBC then once there there divided up equally and each stack is given to an officer to work through... then it all comes down to is how backlogged is that employee or how fast they can work threw each application.. If that employee was on vacation then that will add backloged and what not else... then when the time comes your case gets tranmsferred to a local office at that point i do believe its in order they recieved the application is how they schedule there interview... This is my theory so it may not actaully be like this

April 25th: NOA1 date (never recieved e-notifications) [Day 14]

April 29th: NOA1 hard copy recieved in the mail [Day 18]

May 9th: "Fingerprint fee recieved" [Day 28]

May 12th: Reciept number's start working on USCIS case status website [Day 31]

May 20th: Biometrics letter recieved [Day 39]

June 1st: Biometric appointment [Day 51]

December 1st: Interview day! APPROVED [Day 235]

December 5th: Case status changed from "fingerprint fee received" to "Approved" post dated Dec 1st [Day 239]

Still no biometrics letter for me but I got a letter from USCIS as I had a service request put in last time I spoke to them on the phone, it basically says they can't help me and to make an infopass appointment at my local office as they require more information, to me that means I'm either not in the system yet or they could of possibly lost my case? It's now over 45 days since I sent my paperwork to the lockbox.

Detroit location.

No biometrics letter after45 days now.

After 30 days case escalayed with a tef no TIF.... But no response

Spoke to Level-2 today. He said my case not in their sysyem even not linked to my A# file. He kept saying there is error in my receipt number.

What should I do? The lawyer is very pasdive and says just keep waiting.

I'm having the same problem as you it's been over 45 days since I filed and still no biometrics appointment at present, when I spoke to a tier 2 rep last week he told me I wasn't in the system and couldn't find me with my receipt numbers or personal info, I'm also getting errors with my receipt numbers, I sent in a service request and yesterday got a letter saying to make an infopass at my local office as they can't help me till I see someone in person and I still have no idea where my case is.

So they just wanted tax returns for 2014 and 2015? Had you included them in your initial packet?

I thought on the Affidavit of support it said that you needed the most recent tax year and it's optional to send the other two years. That's wrong if you get an RFE for that. Very misleading! I sent three with my package incase but you shouldn't get an RFE.

10/13/2016 - EAD and AP approved!
10/27/2016 - EAD status updated to "Card Mailed To Me".
10/31/2016 - EAD/AP combo card received in mail.

02/04/2017 - I-485 case status goes straight to "Card is being Produced" (Approved without interview). 

02/06/2017 - I-485 case status changes to "Case Approved"

02/07/2017 - I-485 case status changes to "Card was Mailed to Me".
