Thanks. G&G:) how did you send your package for AOS? Priority or Express mail via USPS or other courier? What's your timeline so far? I am really excited to send our papers and nervous at the same time. But I'm thrilled to read experiences here it's helping me a lot to ease my anxiety. :)

:idea: May 31,2011-we met thru a common friend in FB (we've been bestfriends since then)

(L) March 16,2015- we got married in the Philippines

Our AOS Journey:

March 1,2016 - I arrived in the US with a B2 visa (visitor)

Day 00: August 4,2016 - we submitted our AOS package (I-130, I-485, I-765) (USPS Priority Mail)

Day 0: August 8, 2016 - Package arrived at USCIS Chicago Lockbox

Day 1: August 9, 2016 - Received date in NOA (Form I-797C, Notice of Action)

Day 9: August 17, 2016 - Notice date of NOAs

Day 11: August 19, 2016 (12:26am) - received email notifications that our application has been accepted and routed to the USCIS National Benefits Center for processing.

Day 13: August 21, 2016 - all cases receipts are working online. Registered for email and text alerts.

Day 14: August 22,2016 - got hard copies of NOAs on the mail. Notice date is August 17, 2016.
Day 44: September 21,2016 - called USCIS to follow up my biometrics letter. I was given a referral number & was advised to wait & call again after 30 days if biometrics don't arrived. (30 days should be October 21).

Day 67: October 14,2016 - called USCIS again and request to talked to a tier 2. Tier 2 made request and sent it to my local office. Advised to call back again on the 29th if the biometrics letter don't arrive.

Day 84: October 31,2016 - received biometrics letter in the mail (finally! Almost 2 months from NOA 1 date)

Day 88: November 4,2016 - I-765 (EAD) updated online to 'Case was Approved' on October 31.

Day 91: November 7,2016 - received EAD approval notice in the mail

Day 98: November 14,2016 - Biometrics appointment in Tampa (in and out within 35 mins)

Day 99: November 15,2016 - I-765 (EAD) updated online to 'New Card Is Being Produced'

Day 102: November 18,2016 - I-765 (EAD) updated online to 'Card Mailed to Me'

Day 106: November 22,2016 - I-765 (EAD) updated online to 'Card Was Delivered To Me By The Post Office' and found it in the mailbox! :)

Day 112: November 28,2016 - Applied for SSN

Day 118: December 3,2016 - SS card received in the mailbox :)

Day 172: January 27, 2017 - Received a text message from USCIS that there is a change in my case. I now have a schedule for interview and it's on March 2!

Day 175: January 30, 2017 - Received the Interview Appointment letter in the Mail! :) 

Day 206: March 2, 2017 - Interview schedule.

Hello there from Dade City FL. :) Glad your case is moving a bit fast! :) We will file our papers this coming Thursday and I hope everything will go smoothly too. :) Did you send yours vis USPS priority or express mail?

I there LadyMari24,

We sent everything via USPS Express Mail. The Post Office has different envelopes you should get one that says "FLAT RATE" so everything that fits in there goes for one price. Also, take note of the mailing addresses. There are different addresses for Express Mail and also different one if you are sending I-130 and I-485 together. Express Mail (or courier) requires you to send to the physical address.

07/20/2016 Above received by USCIS

07/28/2016 Three emails and three text messages received approximately at 12:30 a.m.

07/28/2016 All three (3) checks cashed by U.S. Department of Homeland Security

08/01/2016 NOA1s received in the mail for I-130, I-485, I-765 (each dated 07/26/2016)

08/06/2016 Received Biometrics appointment for West Palm Beach on August 15th. The letter was dated 07/29/2016

08/15/2016 Went to Biometrics appointment at West Palm Beach (in and out in 20 minutes)

09/15/2016 Texts & E-mails received stating that 'Name was Updated.' (They had left out an apostrophe in our last name.)

09/23/2016 Text received. EAD (I-765) is being produced.

09/23/2016 Text received. EAD (I-765) is approved.

09/29/2016 EAD (I-765) approval notice received in mail.

10/07/2016 Text received stating status changed for EAD (I-765) to "Card Was Mailed to Me."

10/11/2016 Text received from My USPS with tracking number stating that an item was accepted today by the post office in Kansas City, MO. (No change on myUSCIS case status.)

10/12/2016 Text received from My USPS stating that item was delivered. Checked mailbox and EAD had arrived.

10/12/2016 Status changed for EAD (I-765) to "Card Was Delivered To Me By The Post Office."

10/13/2016 Went to local Social Security Field office in South Palm Beach County to request new Social Security Card. The DHS verification system was down and was unable to immediately verify employment status.

10/20/2016 Social Security Card arrived in the mail.

03/06/2017 Received letter dated 02/28/17 from USCIS for Initial Interview on 04/06/2017 in the West Palm Beach, FL Field Office. No change in online case status.

04/06/2017 Attended interview at West Palm Beach, FL Field Office. Approved!

04/06/2017 Online status for I-485 changed to "Your card is being produced."

04/06/2017 Online status for I-485 changed to "Your case is approved."

Perfect! You got your interview date already?

That is not the interview date. It is the hardcopy of the Notice of Action (NOA) which are forms I-797C. In this case they are receipts and they also assigned my husband an "A" number.

I also got all my NOA1 hardcopies last July 28. :)

Packet was sent july 14 and checks cashed July 25.. hope to get my biometrics appointment soon.

Ps. If we get NOA1 does that mean no RFE? ?

Hi everyone, we are currently preparing for our AOS papers including AP and EAD. Appreciate your comments and clarifications on these:

Questions:

1. on the AP forms, did you attached a separate paper to explain how you qualify for AP( answer to Part 7)?

2. Our medical is still within one year, we will only submit DS 3025 with the I 485, No need to submit Form I 693?

1) no need to, check the example forms here on vj so you know which parts you need to fill out.

2) if your ds3025 is marked as complete, no need for a i693.

i sent it by usps priority for only $6 in July 9 and it was received in July 11. You can check my timeline below.

I also got all my NOA1 hardcopies last July 28. :)

NOA1 Means they accepted/acknowledge the documents you have sent to USCIS. Wait for NOA2, you will know whether its approved or you have RFE.

Got my NOA1 for my AOS and EAD in form of texts and email two days ago. That was after waiting for 22 days. I just don't know why I didn't got any NOA for my AP. I Sent three packages all together in one mail and how come they didn't sent any mail for my travel permit. Anyone have the same situation?

Did you ever receive your NOA for your AP? I received everything but that as well.

I didn't get any NOA1 hard copy at all. Because USPS messed up my address. But I'm lucky enough to get the Biometric appointment letter. It is coming at Aug 9 woo!!

14 August 2015 : Mailed I-129F through USPS express service

02 September 2015 : Received NOA1 hard copy by mail.

05 October 2015 : Case number was assigned.

20 October 2015 : Packet 3 arrived in my hand.

03 November 2015 : Got Packet 4 e-mail from Bangkok embassy about the interview date.

18 November 2015 : Visa interview and it was approved!

20 November 2015 : Got documents and a passport with K1 Visa back in my hands

I've still not received my biometrics letter yet, I'm hoping it will arrive this week. Does anyone know if the Phoenix office where you have your biometrics is usually quite busy?
