Hello there,

Greetings from Florida. We thought we'd post our information because it is helpful to read others' journeys towards permanent residence. We got three texts and emails at 1:00 a.m. this morning and we added the receipt numbers to the case tracker and everything appeared just fine. We've read that the time to receive the texts can vary greatly, and some don't even receive any notifications.

Also, this morning I checked my checking account online and the debits for $85 (biometrics fee), $985 (I-485 AOS fee), and $420 (I-130 fee) are pending, so be prepared for your payments to all be cashed at the same time.

If you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask as. Good luck to all!

12 days from receipt date for me to receive the paper NOAs. We're missing one (I-131) however, even though it shows up on our case tracker. Sounds like as long as you got your e-NOAs, it means you are officially in process.

No biometrics letter just yet.

Hello 'm new here.. my fiancee is about sending my AOS.. but we want to know if it's okay to use the

I have few questions

1. Do we have to include the letters from employer, banks with the w2&affidavit of support? do we have to submit the original documents including the w2 or photocopy is fine.

2. Do we have to submit wedding pictures?

3. I am applying to EAD along with the AOS.. will i have to pay for the EAD or it's free when applying with the AOS???

($985 +$85) Total $1070.... is this what has to be paid or there is an additional fee for EAD???

4. I came in with K1.. I am supposed to submit only the vaccination record since I did the medical examination within 1 year.. Right???

5. Form G-325A will this be for me the beneficiary alone or for 2 of us???

Someone Help... Thanks

Hello everyone! Another July AOS filer here :D my lawyer sent my AOS packet (I-485, I-765, and I-131) on July 19, and it was received at the Chicago Lockbox on July 20th. My check was cashed on July 27, and I haven't received my NOA's. One quick question. Since my AOS was filled out by my attorney, I didn't fill out the form to get emails and texts about my case. Do you all think that I'll be able to sign up for text and email notifications when I receive my paper NOA's

Good luck to all. I hope this is a speedy and satisfactory process for all of us!

1) only copies. Originals should be taken to interview, if you have one. Yes, you need to send supporting documents for the i864 as well. Read the instructions available at uscis.gov for the form

2) not necessary, but if you want to, send whatever proof of marriage you have

3) the fee for ead is waived when filing concurrently. So it's 1070 for aos, ead, AP.

4) send a copy of the ds3025 if you have it

5) g325a only for the person adjusting status

Yes, you will. We also had a lawyer file for us.

In fact, you can create a USCIS account now and then later add the receipt numbers that will be listed in your NOA's. And even though you'll have the numbers, they will most likely not work right away, but as the officers process your forms and update their status, the numbers will start to work. That means that initially, you'll just have to keep checking the numbers like every other day until they start working, and then you'll be able to turn the text and email alerts on.

Good luck!

Hi,

Hi! I know. Our timelines are almost identical. Maybe we will have our interviews on the same day, and right now it looks like the Houston office is taking about 1 year to complete an AOS case. I saw in another forum that people that filed at the beginning of August of last year just had their interview yesterday. My lawyer said its because they're flooded with Naturalization applications. I believe that it's because people want to vote come November, and once that happens, I hope that there are less N-400's and the Houston office will start to move faster. Well, one can hope that they do. 1 year seems like an awful lot!

Best of luck to you too :)

I was also a bit sad looking at the average processing time for Houston of 400+ days, but it never came to my mind it could be connected with the elections. Well, we were managed to wait for the visa we will wait for the adjustment. A lot of patience to us all.
