We received my husbands biometrics letter in the mail this past Saturday! Booked for August 3. However, still haven't received the paper receipt for the I-765 yet :/

I'm so tired of the whole USPS unable to deliver my package and unable to locate where that is.

I called the number of the Chicago Lockbox and the lady told me that there is people from USCIS that come to pick up and signs for them 4 times a day.

So I don't believe signature delivery is the issue here. The issue is USPS **** up big time.

I will get a copy of the 693 again and prepare a whole package again and hopefully send it out with FedEx this week. I can't just sit here and waiting for something to happen.

Anyone with any advice on how to avoid duplicate applications, cancelled checks, etc?

I used Fedex express saver to send my AOS packet and It was delivered within 24 hours. My recommendation is just waiting for a little more to see how everything go before you send another one. USPS sometimes take up to 5-10 bussiness days for to delivery packet. If you send it twice, they might send the latest one back to you unless you call and explain to them.

Finally, after 17 days (including weekend) since I have sent my package, uscis sent me and emails and text notifications that all my documents has been received on 12th July 2016. All case numbers are working & valid when I checked thru uscis online tracker. I have to wait for the hardcopies. I have checked our back, but the check payment is not yet gone. Is it normal? I thought the check should be cashed out first before they send u any notifications?

Happy to report some bit of good news about my lost USPS Express package.

It turns out that the package was delivered on 19th at 1.02pm and signed by R MERCADO.

By some stroke of luck, we initially created a label ourselves online and add to the package. At the post office, the lady told us that the postage is not correct and she added a second label for Express mailing and we paid the extra fee.

So we have been tracking the second label which stopped updating when it got to Chicago sorting facility. It never went out.

This morning, we remember that we took the picture of the original package with the first stamp. It has a tracking number. Using it and bingo, it was delivered.

So what happened could be that when they go out to deliver, they just scan the first label and not the second one.

7/26: Received 8 text/email NOAs

7/27: Checks cashed
7/30: Received 8 hard copy NOAs

8/6: Bio letter received

8/8: Bio done

9/10: Case updated that RFIE was mailed regarding i485

9/17: Received RFIE (needs a cosponsor)

9/23: Mailed back RFIE

9/27: Case update: RFIE received by USCIS and case resumed

10/3: Created SR for my EAD as it's been 75 days.

10/14: Contacted congressman office to inquiry/expedite

10/19: EAD card ordered, AP approved

11/1: EAD/AP was mailed

11/3: EAD/AP received

11/4: Applied for SSN

12/2: SSN card received

12/2: Applied and got learner license

8/14/17: Got email/txt for interview scheduled Sept 19

9/19/17: Interview

9/23/17: received approval notice and GC in the mail

Did they receive your package on the 19th? I see you post that you mailed on the 12th so I'm not sure.
