11/03/2016: We had out interview in Los Angeles CA. Our IO said they don't normally approve on the spot anymore and she gave us a paper saying "your case is being held for interview". The IO also said she is new, therefore she need to talk to her supervisor. Additionally she showed us a pile of cases that is being held for review, so it looks like it will take a while to get an answer about our case.

11/07/2016: EAD card was mailed to me

11/09/2016: EAD card received. Applied for SSN, needs verification will take up to 4 weeks.

11/10/2016: went back to SSA office with my unexpired passport, got verified right away.

11/10/2016: SSN card received

12/28/2016: I-485 status updated to "New Card Being Produced",later in the day updated to "Case was approved"; I-130 status updated to "Case approved"

(1 month, 3 weeks & 4 days after the interview) & (5 months & 2 days after filing AOS)

1/03/2016: Receive I-797 approval letter for I-130 & I-485; status updated to "New Card Being Produced"

1/04/2016: Welcome letter received; status updated to "Card was Mailed"

1/06/2017: 2 year green card received :D

9/27: Case update: RFIE received by USCIS and case resumed

10/3: Created SR for my EAD as it's been 75 days.

10/14: Contacted congressman office to inquiry/expedite

10/19: EAD card ordered, AP approved

My husband and I called USCIS and they directed us to secondary level customer service. Exciting news came about!! The man on the other line told us that his case was sent to Philly on November 30th, 2016. It normally takes 90 days for the field offices to look at these applications so the end is nearing! February 28th, 2017 (estimated) should be the latest we get word from USCIS (hopefully). Fingers crossed...I'm so excited for him. :dance:

We called 1.800.375.5283 which is the customer service line for USCIS. We told the lady that we couldn't check our case status online and she said she couldn't answer where our case was because she was seeing the same thing we were. She directed us to 2nd tier cos she couldn't help us.

I did the same thing on Monday and they told me that I'm still "within processing times" but in two weeks I'll be out of the processing time. Then I can call up and request that they write to me and let me know what's happening with my case. That's if I don't hear anything in the next two weeks. I'm hoping I do :) It would just be nice to see my case status and it not come back with "case invalid". The guy (tier 2) assured me to not worry as he can see everything in his system because it's a different system and it's doing fine, just waiting to be processed. We shall see. I will update as I go along :) Please let us know how yours goes MrsWoodsey :)

Hopefully everything will be just fine with your case! PA seems to have slow processing times, but I know other places are definitely slower. We were assured as well that his case is within its normal phase. It's irritating going and checking on the case status and getting the "invalid case" for sure. I guess good things will just come in due time... But anyway, I'll let yous know when the day comes! Good luck Abbyerin! :)

Thank you love! Yeah seems they are processing 5/6 months after applying. I'm in my 6th month now as they didn't get my file until end of July so I'm hoping January is the month! At least we're with our partners so it's not too bad :)

Hi everyone,

 

I got married in June, sent my AOS in July, and my priority date is July 5th 2016 (And I live in New York)

I got my fingerprints taken on August 8 and since August 17 my case is ready to be scheduled for an interview.

Since then, i got my EAD card in October but no update on the interview.

 

Anyone else with the same timeline?

The wait is killing me!

Silly question guys, I got my Greencard in December and I've just realized I've not updated my SSN card to take off the "valid for work only with DHS authorization" do I need to do this asap?
