Anyone who received SSN can tell me if you can track it being mailed to you via USPS app?

There was no way to track SSN as it was sent by a regular mail letter. I just found it in my mailbox 7 days after SSA office visit.

So a weird thing happened. After months of hearing nothing of my I-485, I got a phone call last week from the Tampa field office telling me that we did not send our marriage certificate with the application. We most certainly did *I am 100% sure of that* but the agent checked again and said it wasn't there...

The letter requesting evidence came through on Saturday and I sent it back with the marriage cert yesterday. No change to the online case tracker at all. It still shows last update to case as being in July.

It looks like a further delay through no fault of our own. Wouldn't they have checked the marriage certificate when approving EAD and AP which I already have?

Just checked my save case this morning and it showed Return to agency.

So it should be maximum a week or 2 more until we get the card.

here is another update... my save case check changed to case returned to agency on Monday, i called ssa a couple of hours later they didn't have an update on their site yet, the lady said to call back by the end of the week.. ( she probably meant Wednesday, hence its thanksgiving ).. anyways.. today i went to my local ssa office at 10:30 am , the lady i talked to didn't have no idea but luckily the guy that took my application 2 weeks ago came over to help... he looked in the file and he said .. oh yeah we just got it verified an hour ago..good for you, you should have your card in about 2 weeks, but sometimes it doesn't take that long... so i went straight to the BMV with the letter from ssa to apply for my ID..waited for about 15 minutes and it was my turn, they took my letter from the ssa office my EAD/AP Card, my interview letter and made copy`s, then i had to sign and had my picture taken... sat back down.. the lady asked me for my phone number and did something on the computer. suddenly she was reading something and turned towards me and said sorry it hasn't gone thru yet. for me to come back tomorrow and it will be fine, She explained that when you go to SSA office to apply for SScard/SSnumber/Replacement/change of name.., DON'T go to the BMV the same day, hence all the verification's between government offices merge at night. she reassured me that it will be fine tomorrow..so i am going back tomorrow

I really haven't comment because my case was not moving until a couple of weeks ago we were able to get our hands on the RFE since we went straight to the congressmen(we waited about 2 months). We mailed everything which was just a translation for my wife's birth certificate. Now the EAD & AP are approved and we are waiting for the card to be delivered. I wanted to ask for those who have received the combo card do you have to pick it up at the post office or it can be delivered to you at home?

I really haven't comment because my case was not moving until a couple of weeks ago we were able to get our hands on the RFE since we went straight to the congressmen(we waited about 2 months). We mailed everything which was just a translation for my wife's birth certificate. Now the EAD & AP are approved and we are waiting for the card to be delivered. I wanted to ask for those who have received the combo card do you have to pick it up at the post office or it can be delivered to you at home?

Good luck tomorrow! And let's hope we will get dat SSN within 2 weeks. I called the local social security office this morning but the lady said she could not find my case in the system so I asked her to check it with my 2 middle names (they put it as 1 name on my I-94 as well as on the application for the ssn) and then she said the case was still pending

well i went to the bmv today and everything went fine just like the lady said from yesterday.. i will get my id between 7 and 14 days

have you checked yours on save case check ?

I called SSA office today and got a nice lady who check up on my reference number when I applied. She checked and said, "wow, your case has been returned and let me clear it. You should get the card in a week or so". I asked if I can come to the office and get the number in person and she said yes, I can do so on Monday since the office will close until then (Thanksgivings etc).

It seems to me that once your status turned to "Returned to agency", you should call up local SSA and let them check and clear it. If you don't do it, they will let it sit there. I wasted almost a week waiting for this. Had I done it right after the status changed, I could have received the card this week.

Oh well, next week we will do it then.

i dont know if you read what i posted but if you didnt scroll up... i went to SSA office yesterday they gave me a letter saying i will have my card within 2 weeks and went to the BMV with the letter but it wasn't cleared yet at their end.. so i went back today to apply and it went thru, i ll be getting my id between 7 and 14 days... we will get em soon.. i am sooo tired of waiting... the whole process is just taking the best of me...i have my interview next week ...7 more days ...... i still gotta sort my papers out... ...lol

Yes, I saw your earlier post but it seems that your state allows you to apply for ID without the SSN card? I have to have the actual card to apply.

oh ok.. sorry i thought you could do it with the letter from the social security office, showing that you applied and awaiting your card.
