Open serivce request today for EAD as it was almost 75 days since we applied and got an update, status changed to New card is being produced in an hour time, finally I can start looking for work. PTL

AOS from K-1 visa

5/27/2016: Entered US on k-1 visa

6/01/2016: Married!

7/22/2016: I-485 & I-131 & I-765 sent to USCIS

8/1/2016: NOA via SMS & Email received

8/3/2016: NOA letters received

8/10/2016: Biometrics appointment letter received (scheduled for 26 August)

8/26/2016: Biometrics done at Alexandria, VA

9/19/2016: RFIE E-Notification Received

9/23/2016: RFIE Letter Received

10/27/2016: Responsed back to RFIE Letter

10/31/2016: USCIS received RFIE Letter

11/15/2016: Open Service Request on USCIS as EAD/AP was beyond regulatory time frame

Can anyone applied to SSN tell us how long it took to get the card?

I received mine in 5 days also... I got mine in the mail yesterday so tomorrow I will be headed to the DMV to apply my state and drivers i.d.

11/03/2016: We had out interview in Los Angeles CA. Our IO said they don't normally approve on the spot anymore and she gave us a paper saying "your case is being held for interview". The IO also said she is new, therefore she need to talk to her supervisor. Additionally she showed us a pile of cases that is being held for review, so it looks like it will take a while to get an answer about our case.

11/07/2016: EAD card was mailed to me

11/09/2016: EAD card received. Applied for SSN, needs verification will take up to 4 weeks.

11/10/2016: went back to SSA office with my unexpired passport, got verified right away.

11/10/2016: SSN card received

12/28/2016: I-485 status updated to "New Card Being Produced",later in the day updated to "Case was approved"; I-130 status updated to "Case approved"

(1 month, 3 weeks & 4 days after the interview) & (5 months & 2 days after filing AOS)

1/03/2016: Receive I-797 approval letter for I-130 & I-485; status updated to "New Card Being Produced"

1/04/2016: Welcome letter received; status updated to "Card was Mailed"

1/06/2017: 2 year green card received :D

hey you can check on the save check site with your USCIS# ( That is your Alien number/GC number ) that is on your EAD card.

i know tara wanted you to check to see when it said case returned to agency, and i am curious myself

Just traveled to Russia and France for 2 weeks using my EAD/AP after ~3 years tourist visa overstay.

Landed at Boston Logan airport - spent 2 mins in line and then just 5 minutes at secondary - the officer there only asked where I traveled to and how long I stayed and that's it.

Going to Caribbean for New Year. Very pleasant experience traveling with AP...

I-485 still at "Case received"...

hey you can check on the save check site with your USCIS# ( That is your Alien number/GC number ) that is on your EAD card.

i know tara wanted you to check to see when it said case returned to agency, and i am curious myself

isnt it if they opened the case and they give you the letter with the instruction to do so? When you guys gave me the site before it kept saying the case doesnt exist... i dont think my own went through save check... I'll try again...

I did it again... I saw the date that I went to the ssa office... and I saw, Maryland Social Security admin... then view case... I clicked on view case and it didnt have a number ... this is what I see

Nice! I did not know that you can use AP even though you overstayed.

Just traveled to Russia and France for 2 weeks using my EAD/AP after ~3 years tourist visa overstay.

Landed at Boston Logan airport - spent 2 mins in line and then just 5 minutes at secondary - the officer there only asked where I traveled to and how long I stayed and that's it.

Going to Caribbean for New Year. Very pleasant experience traveling with AP...

11/03/2016: We had out interview in Los Angeles CA. Our IO said they don't normally approve on the spot anymore and she gave us a paper saying "your case is being held for interview". The IO also said she is new, therefore she need to talk to her supervisor. Additionally she showed us a pile of cases that is being held for review, so it looks like it will take a while to get an answer about our case.

11/07/2016: EAD card was mailed to me

11/09/2016: EAD card received. Applied for SSN, needs verification will take up to 4 weeks.

11/10/2016: went back to SSA office with my unexpired passport, got verified right away.

11/10/2016: SSN card received

12/28/2016: I-485 status updated to "New Card Being Produced",later in the day updated to "Case was approved"; I-130 status updated to "Case approved"

(1 month, 3 weeks & 4 days after the interview) & (5 months & 2 days after filing AOS)

1/03/2016: Receive I-797 approval letter for I-130 & I-485; status updated to "New Card Being Produced"

1/04/2016: Welcome letter received; status updated to "Card was Mailed"

1/06/2017: 2 year green card received :D

Nice! I did not know that you can use AP even though you overstayed.

I know someone who uses it to travel to and from Antigua... I just am not sure if I want to try to travel with it.. I'm very skeptical.. but according to everyone you can use it to travel, it doesn't substitute your usa visa and passport.. you still need those to enter the country... what it does is make sure that your case isnt abandoned, because if you travel without it then you abandon the case and they will just end it there...
