You can only use it after an agency submitted a check request when you apply for something (SSN, DL, etc). Have you use EAD to apply for SSN yet?

ahhh that explains it then...but i received my card nov. 1st and the card is still not verifiable?

Some people waited 4 weeks for it to verify when they apply for SSN. And again they will wait when they apply for DL, etc.

Just do some search on "SAVE SSN verification wait".

Unfortunately no luck with my calling USCIS they can't transfer me to tier 2, will try again tomorrow. Hoping to receive my EAD tomorrow and apply to SSN.

YAYYYYYYYY!!!!!!! I went to the SSN today because the husband wanted me to wait til he was off and can come go with me.

So how did the SSN process go? Did your SAVE case cleared? Did you get a letter saying how many weeks you have to wait?

The wait in the office is not bad I was called in 10mins, however they still need to do a verification. The lady who helped me gave me a paper saying it will take up to 4 weeks. For the save case when I check it, it says case returned to agency: Maryland SSA. It is weird that its showing Maryland cause i applied in long beach ca

I think because I had a social security number previously I didn't get that clearance letter, mine will take 2 weeks. In 2005, I went to university here and worked on campus, I received a ssn then. I didnt think I would need it, so I just never had it. She did tell me that my card will have a letter on it. I am now trying to figure out what this code means.

I went early, so as soon as I sat down my number was called, got up it was an easy process. I was out of there in less 10 minutes for sure.

We called the 1800 number this morning. No waiting at all, short and sweeet. Her replies below.

I131 - its within normal processing times and we should call back after 90 days.

I765 - we received a request for INITIAL evidence, on our AOS. She stated we have to count 90 days from when they received our response. Uscis will not process a 765 while a rfIe is pending.

485 - didnt even bother at this point.

I went back to the SSA office today because yesterday I accidentally picked my expired passport. Today I brought the recent one, there's a lot of people but the lady that helped me yesterday told me to look for her. She input my passport info and I was verified instantly, ss card will come in 2 weeks then off to dmv to lift the restriction in my DL license.
