Got my green card yesterday without any interview. Although i had an RFE for a certification of vaccine and updated I-693, everything went well and smoothly after I responded.

11/03/2016: We had out interview in Los Angeles CA. Our IO said they don't normally approve on the spot anymore and she gave us a paper saying "your case is being held for interview". The IO also said she is new, therefore she need to talk to her supervisor. Additionally she showed us a pile of cases that is being held for review, so it looks like it will take a while to get an answer about our case.

11/07/2016: EAD card was mailed to me

11/09/2016: EAD card received. Applied for SSN, needs verification will take up to 4 weeks.

11/10/2016: went back to SSA office with my unexpired passport, got verified right away.

11/10/2016: SSN card received

12/28/2016: I-485 status updated to "New Card Being Produced",later in the day updated to "Case was approved"; I-130 status updated to "Case approved"

(1 month, 3 weeks & 4 days after the interview) & (5 months & 2 days after filing AOS)

1/03/2016: Receive I-797 approval letter for I-130 & I-485; status updated to "New Card Being Produced"

1/04/2016: Welcome letter received; status updated to "Card was Mailed"

1/06/2017: 2 year green card received :D

75 Days... get on that phone and call them now :) .. keep us updated. They will assign it to an officer and then tell you to allow 15 days

After 4yrs of dealing with secondary inspections at airports cause my wife has a Philippine passport and a tourist visa. And being berated by homeland security at every poe. We finally decided to get married.

We are both retired, K1 process was painless. We looked at other timelines for Nashville and figured this would all be resolved by now. In reality we are dealing with multiple RFE's and no action at all with her EAD/AP. The worst part is I dont care if we live here or overseas, dont care about ead, just want the stupid AP. Dont even get me started about how uscis decided to change her middle name on her paperwork in the middle of the process.

Ok sorry. Im frustrated and needed to vent..

No no you can vent here. I completely am very understanding. The process is tiresome. I also share in your frustration, I would lose my mind having dealt with your situation. I thought getting my biometrics done day 50 was bad, meanwhile everyone else was getting it within the first month. Its been pass 75 days. Call 1-800-375-5283, press 1 for english then press 2, keep pressing 2 until you hear that music (wait time is 1-3 minutes) or until it says to hold on. Give them your I-765, I-131 and the I-485 number and tell them it is pass 75 days. They will create a case under the Case number(s) and assign an officer to it. Advise that officer of everything you been through. Also see if you can do an info pass. I'm trying to get one done myself.

People would get it like in 2 days.. check back later tonight on your case status or early in the morning you will see a tracking number. Mine came really fast. It got to our destination usps the next day and I couldn't wait, I went to pick it up. :) by wednesday/thursday (thursday the latest) it should be delivered to you. If you are signed up for text and email updates sometime later tonight or in the morning you should receive another text saying it was picked up by usps and that one would have the tracking number. Don't you feel silly for worrying so much now?? :) ... ssn next.. 2 weeks wait.. then we go get our state I.D, n our driver's license and jobs .. :).. continue to keep us updated, cuz you had your interview last week, I was hoping to read that you were approved.

I think the decision for the interview will take a while because the IO has stacks of folder in her office that needed review like more than 50 ?. But it is a good feeling to get the SS soon :D This forum is such a great help, and it is nice to talk to people who are going through same process.

10/28/2016: EAD card being produced

11/03/2016: We had out interview in Los Angeles CA. Our IO said they don't normally approve on the spot anymore and she gave us a paper saying "your case is being held for interview". The IO also said she is new, therefore she need to talk to her supervisor. Additionally she showed us a pile of cases that is being held for review, so it looks like it will take a while to get an answer about our case.

11/07/2016: EAD card was mailed to me

11/09/2016: EAD card received. Applied for SSN, needs verification will take up to 4 weeks.

11/10/2016: went back to SSA office with my unexpired passport, got verified right away.

11/10/2016: SSN card received

12/28/2016: I-485 status updated to "New Card Being Produced",later in the day updated to "Case was approved"; I-130 status updated to "Case approved"

(1 month, 3 weeks & 4 days after the interview) & (5 months & 2 days after filing AOS)

1/03/2016: Receive I-797 approval letter for I-130 & I-485; status updated to "New Card Being Produced"

1/04/2016: Welcome letter received; status updated to "Card was Mailed"

1/06/2017: 2 year green card received :D

What was this rfe for?

I'm wondering if I will be getting another rfe since they received my response 2 months ago and I haven't heard anything since...

Got a text message from uscis, so excited. Read it and find out its another rfe. This is my 2nd one. I feel like crying...

I dont know. We just got the text update, nothing in the mail yet. I went through all my paperwork and what they wanted from the last rfe and cant find anything we missed.

The only difference is it says "request for additional evidence" so maybe they need clarification on something.

Meg is there a local office near you, or will you have to drive to Memphis for the interview?

Memphis is the only one in Tennessee. Atlanta would be closer but i'm not sure if that is an option.... really hoping we don't have to have an interview but I'm not a lucky person so i wouldn't put money on it lol
