I-751 and Process of Removing Conditional Permanent Reisdent Status of CR-1

Hey All,

I'm looking for feedback from someone who has had Consitional Permanent Resident status removed for the partner they sponsored.

I brought my wife and two step kids in from Australia in September of 2015 just a couple weeks shy of our two year anniversary. We went through the CR-1 process and they were given Conditional Permanent Residence status.

I understand my next steps is to file an I-751 to have the conditional basis of the status removed for my wife. The instructions also state "the parents must file petitions for minor children who have been granted Conditional Permanent Resident status."

It seems pretty straigtforward... Am I correct? Do I just print 3 of these I-751 forms, fill them out and send them in? Is there anything else I need to do?

Other questions that come to mind are:

1. Do I mail the forms in or take them in somewhere?

2. Do I submit the forms together, as in one envelope, or do I submit them separately?

3. Is there a few I need to pay for each of the I-751 petitions?

4. Is it all pretty straightforward or is there anything else I should be concerned about or be aware of?

Thank you so much,

~E

Why on earth would they move over just two weeks shy of your two year anniversary??? If you had waited just two more weeks, they would have gotten their permanent 10 year green card from the get go and no more fees or dealing with US immigrations...

I believe you only do one i-751 for her and you put the children under part 5.

Yes, you need to attach evidence of an ongoing bona fida relationship with your i-751 plus copies of the conditional green cards (front and back).

1. You mail them to the lockbox address on USCIS's website.

2. Just one envelope.

3. The filing fee is $505 and then there's a $85 biometrics fee for each applicant.

4. Send in bona fida evidence
