Hi All,

I filed my I-751 on time in March 2016 to Vermont Service Center (VSC). Biometric was taken on April 15, 2016.

Few questions:

1. What will be the next step and how long will it take to hear back something from USCIS?

2. Approximately by when should I receive my 10 yr GC?

3. Does anywhere online show what step is currently processed? I looked at the case status of Form CRI-89 and it says, "we received your Form CRI-89, Petition to Remove Conditions of Permanent Resident Status Received....." . However, it doesn't show anywhere that biometric was completed and what will be the next step. I was just concern to not miss anything in the mail for the next steps after biometric so wanted to keep checking the case status online.

Thanks.

Check out the March, February, January, and other previous monthly ROC Filer threads to compare processing times. You can search for them using the research bar at the top right of the page. Good luck! :)

Hi All,

Few questions:

1. What will be the next step and how long will it take to hear back something from USCIS? After biometrics, you wait. Either for an approval, RFE, or interview. You won't hear from USCIS otherwise.

2. Approximately by when should I receive my 10 yr GC? VSC is processing August 2015 cases right now, and trending longer. You probably won't receive your card before February/March 2017 unless they transfer cases or hire more people.

Case status online only changes for approvals, nothing before then.

Thanks.

Good luck!

My GC expireds on May 26th 2016.

I filed for I-751 and the notice date is March 4th. My drivers license expires on March 4th 2017 and now DMV wont renew my license.

I was advised on the 1-800 number that I need to take an infopass and get another letter extending the GC by another 12 months.

My nearest field office is Newark,NJ but there are no appointments available there and so I took an appointment at the Mount Laurel, NJ office.

Is that OK? Do they normally stamp the passport with a 12 month I-551.

Please advise, I am suoer stressed.

Should be fine. Some field offices do not like to put the stamp up until the 1 year expiration (in your case 5/26/17), so if they do that tell about the situation with the driver's license / DMV.
