Keep Mom and Pop together?

My wife and I have Petitioned for her parents and have just summited the AOS. We sent each AOS in separate packages to the NVC. One for Pop and a completely separate package for Mom. This was the way I understand we need to send it, as two Petitions and not as one with a family member joining.

So, if this is right, and I believe it is the right way. How does the NVC and Embassy know how to keep them (mom and pop) together through the whole process?

Thanks in advance for your answers!

hi

for one, you could have sent both petitions in one packet, plus did you put the same cover letter as I mentioned? there is only one payment for the affidavit of support since it is one payment per family, so the cover letter that the nvc provides, a copy should be in both packages
