Hi all,

My fiance and I are filing through the consulate in Montreal and we are in the process of getting our documents together for Packet 3. They require evidence of my (the petitioner) domicile in the United States, but I am not sure exactly what to do for this. I have been living with my father for the past 6 months but am moving to Alexandria, VA at the end of next month to attend graduate school. We haven't received the NOA2 in the mail yet, but online it says that our case was approved on July 29th....so going by the general time estimates the consulate could have our case by the end of next month.

Should I provide proof of having lived where I am currently with my father as well as proof of where I will be living in August? I won't have much to show for domicile in Virginia besides a lease contract, since my recent pay stubs, tax return and driver's license all indicate residence in Florida. Perhaps I should write a letter explaining my situation?

If anyone could help with this, that'd be much appreciated!!

-O.

Really not an issue with k1. Provide proof of schooling or tax returns. Driver's license?
