K1 Visa and my fiance's 6 y.o. daughter

Hi,

I have read that a fiance's child is automatically given a visa during the K1 process. Is this correct?

What information if any should I be aware of with respects to my fiance's 6 y.o. child? I noticed on the I-129F form there is a section where I am to list her children. Is this all that is needed or is there more?

Will her child be given a separate visa, or will my fiance's visa allow her to bring her child with her?

Thanks,

Sativo

That is not correct.

They child will be listed by you on the I-129F when that one is approved the child can apply for a K-2 visa.

The child will need her/his own medical, DS-160 and visa fee.

The child's visa will be printet in the child's own passport.

Also want to add that most countries require permission from the other parent or court for the child to immigrate. USCIS will not issue a visa if there is no permission for a minor child to leave their country.

Ok, thanks. So in terms of the I-129F I simply list the child there.

Then in terms of this flowchart:

Steps 8-10 my fiance will fill out forms for both herself and her child?

Yes, just list the child on the I-129F. Then when it's approved and sent to NVC and on to the embassy, the embassy will contact you about your next steps and there will also be info on the K-2 visa as well :)
