You cannot expedite a K1 case. K1s are usually fast and for a good case a visa is issued within 4 to 7 months. If there are problems then it can be longer. Trying to expedite a K1 case will only delay your case. All cases go through the due process and follow a queue. Just wait and be ready for any documents to submit, interview and other problems, if there are any.

Yes, you can expedite a K1 case if it meets the expedite criteria. I have not ever heard that it delays a petition, that sounds more like a denied expedite. You can find the criteria for expedite here: https://www.uscis.gov/forms/expedite-criteria

This link is not for K1 visas. This is for people seeking medical visas, companies who want to send personnel urgently and other categories. K1 has to go through the due process. "I have to get married as soon as possible" is not something the USCIS will consider an urgent matter.

Since when can't k1 not expedite? Plenty of people here have done it.

I dont know any, but I may be wrong. Do you know any? Any USCIS expedites visas only for medical, humanitarian and official reasons with US interests. Please shed some light. Good for the OP.

It's very hard to get approved but it does happen. When I applied there were a few because of war if I remember correctly. Philippines were auto expedited due to natural disaster.

I'll post links later, I'm about to head out on a day trip. Maybe someone else can shed some light in the meantime? Also try "expedite k1" in the search thing.

Like I said it's extemly hard to get an expedite approval I don't think it matters if the OP or a lawyer does it. I found one successful expedite (there's more somewhere but they are hard to find as they are rare. This guys managed to get his request approved because of severe financial loss (http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/599069-visa-expedite-request/?hl=%2Bexpedite#entry8185464)

I don't know why you want to expedite (and you don't have to tell us if you don't want to) but keep in mind it is hard to get it expedited, not many people get it. It won't be approved just because you really really want your fiance to be with you. Pregnancy is also a no go. It has to really fit the criteria of an expedite and can't be for just anything. Good luck. Considering how fast the K1's are approved you'll probably be fine without one unless it really is urgent.

Yes you can request an expedite for a K1. You need to meet the expedite criteria given on the website and then it's up to the guys at the CSC if it meets criteria from their point of view. What reason would you want to expedite it? Being as you just filed, if the expedite gets declined it shouldn't cause any delays. They are supposed to be your case back in line where they took it. So as long as you have a valid reason, go for it.
