Habibi goes in for his medical tomorrow morning at 8am (his time). There is only one city in all of Morocco you can go to for the medical which is a little crazy. He'll be on the train for 7 hours tomorrow just to get this done.

But then it's only 19 days until the interview!

about medical, Alison and others, please, don't worry but don't tell them too much, stick just to vaccinations, blood test, play a fool if there are some very digging in questions, you never know how bad could be that doctors writing. Less they know, better for you. Take care

Hi every one its been a little while since I posted. So decided to catchup everyone. My Fiance had his medical and our date for interview is aroumd the corner. He said that at medical he was asked where he was going and if he had been there before. When he said Florida the doctor said they have nice weather there. Thats all. I see people are concern with doctors motives. I think they just want to know is all.Happy to see everyone moving along just fine

about medical, if the doctor describe your fiance(e) as mentally unstable and possibly could hurt him(her)self or others or describing too much about the drug use / abuse - these are 2 strong grounds to deny the visa. Sometimes people doesn't realize what impression do they give being just somehow different, not a basic common person. Even if you are a genius or a very artistic person (which is being very crazy, lol!), better don't talk too much, be calm and as everybody else. My sincere advice

He doesn't have a history of drug use or depression, and like others said, if the doctor felt he needed further evaluation (from a psychiatrist, etc), then it would have been mentioned at the exam. Instead the doctor said that if he doesn't hear from them in 5 days, everything is good. I just wish I had focused on that part instead of allowing my mind to latch onto irrational fear and worry. Thankfully you glorious people here made me see when I couldn't.

And Tasha I know you weren't necessarily just directing this at me, but wanted to also remind others who have yet to go to the medical, that if further evaluation is required/suggested, it will come up at the exam.

So glad you're back and that you had a great trip!

Yes, Alison, I wasn't ref. to you, I was answering to the previous posting about how doctors could influence the visa.

Your case is not different from others, it's just doctors need to show they work well and it happened to be your fiance delay. You will be approved in everything, not a big deal.

So Jon just tried to call Knightsbridge 20+ times to try and get through and schedule his medical only to be told they can't schedule appointments for December until the start of November!!!! :ranting::ranting::ranting:

What kind of doctor's office is this?!?! I can schedule my appointments up to a year in advance ><. I realize it is an immigration specific doctor but it just seems silly that they can't even schedule an appointment two months in advance....

Guess we will be calling again November 1st!

Hi Kat

Try again tomorrow and see if you can get through to someone else. I rang twice this week about something and got through straight away so maybe he spoke to a newbie?

There are LOADS of different visas that go through there - it is so so busy I was surprised. I have never had a problem calling though... just get him to try again when they open first thing :)

Did you schedule your medical in December? He was eventually able to get through, they just told him they don't make appointments that far out.
